Advantages: Nice texture, good intense colour, easy to remove.

Disadvantages: More expensive than some other eyeliners

After watching some make-up tutorials on youtube and noticing this product being used frequently, I decided to buy the eye crayon in shade No.1 which is a jet black colour.

Appearance of crayon:
The eye crayon is quite thick and chunky compared to most eyeliner pencils I have come across. This makes it easier to hold and, in my opinion, easier to use. The main body of the crayon is black in colour with gold writing stating the product name, the Barry M logo the shade number and the website address. The lid of the crayon is see-through plastic so you can see what the crayon looks like before you buy it.

My experience of using it:
The nib of the crayon is thick and, as the product name would suggest, soft. This makes it easy to apply and ensures your skin or eye is not irritated by any sharp nibs. I personally like applying this eyeliner to my lower lash line as it gives a dramatic look and makes my eyes really stand out. As the line produced using the crayon is thick, it stays put all day and doesn't smudge. Having said that, however, you can use the product to create a smoky effect by intentionally smudging it using a brush, usually above the upper lash line and at the outer corners. Though the product stays put during the day, it is easy to remove with no special eye make up remover required (I just use my normal facial cleanser and water).

Cost: This costs £3.95 from amazon.co.uk although it is also available from the Barry M website and highstreet shops such as Boots and Superdrug so it might be a good idea to shop around to see if you can buy it for cheaper.

Overall, I think this is a versatile product as it can be used to produce both defined eyes or smoky eyes. The crayon nature of the eyeliner, as opposed to the more common eyeliner pencils available, ensures a thick, intense line for dramatic eyes that really stand out. Though this does mean it may not be to everyone's taste as a daytime product, it is brilliant for nights out. So far, this product has never irritated my eyes and, with it being easy to remove, I think this is a great product and would recommend it to all people wanting eyes that stand out.
