Advantages: Unusual, adapts to best shade for your lips, cheap

Disadvantages: Doesn't last the 8 hours stated (but still long lasting)

I recently went a bit mad buying up some Barry M products. I was attracted to their bright colours and cheap prices and the fact that most of the products seemed to be really good when I was testing them in the shop.
One thing I bought that I didn't actually get to try out in the shop because they didn't have a tester was the magic lip paint. I had the original lip paint and liked it and had heard about the magic one and was curious to try it out.

The touch ofmagic lip paint is a little different and weird in that it is a bright green stick instead of being a pinky colour or red. It doesn't actually go on your lip green though and it is formulated to work with the alkaline levels in your lips to go the exact shade of pink that should match your skin tone. So in other words the stick is green but it goes on pink and will be a different shade of pink for everyone depending on the alkali in your lips.

I'm a sucker for a gimmick and was really excited to try it out. The lipstick goes on nicely and it isn't too hard and waxy. When you slick it on your lips it doesn't feel heavy and as though it is coating your lips in a heavy waxy coating which is good because I personally don't like my lips to feel too clogged and that's why I normally go for a gloss instead of a lipstick.

I was a bit concerned that when I first applied the lipstick my lips didn't go pink. They didn't go green which was a relief but I expected the colour to be instant and I didn't realise that it would take a minute or so for the colour to develop.
When it did develop the pink was a lovely mid pink colour that had a nice richness to it. It is the type of pink that probably wouldn't have caught my eye on the shelf and I don't own any other lip colour this shade but it does actually suit me perfectly.
The colour has a lovely sheer sheen to it as well and it contains aloe vera which makes it feels nice and moisturising on my lips.

Longevity is good with it especially for a lipstick which I find that no matter how careful I am rubs off on to glasses etc.
This probably lasts on average about 5 to 6 hours before I need to reapply which I think it a good amount of time for a lipstick especially one that doesn't come from a premium brand like Lancome or Clinique.

I bought my touch of magic lip paint in boots where it cost me £4.49 and was also part of a 3 for 2 promotion.

Summary: A little bit of magic.
