I'd never be seen by the general public without at least one coat of mascara as I wouldn't like to scare the living daylights out of anyone. I have naturally light auburn hair so look as if I don't have many lashes & thoose I do have left seem to be depleting on a daily basis.

I was due to buy a new black mascara when my daughter came home with a freebie from Glamour so I rushed out & bought a a copy. The magazine's sealed in plastic so I knew it couldn't have been tampered with & it was even given away with it's pretty pink & black box.

The 40g tube is apparently sold at around £9.50 but likely to be cheaper online/ Ebay?

The tube itself measures around 9cm in height so is a good size for the make-up bag or handbag. It has a smart silver top which is easy to unscrew & screw back on without fear of contamination. The brush is quite bushy & measures about 2.5cm which is perfect for my little fingers to manipulate & get to those hard to reach tiny lashes that I often manage to miss with other mascaras.

I found that, having used it for several days now, it hasn't gone gloopy & that 2 coats are sufficient not only to cover my eyelashes, but also to make them longer & give the effect that I actually have many more eyelashes than I possess! For a night out/dramatic eyes I think maybe 3 coats would do the trick but this would depend on colour & length etc.

I really like this mascara as it does everything I'd expect from a good make.

I also like the way it doesn't smudge or run & also the fact it has no smell. I have quite sensitive eyes but have experienced no irritation around the eye area since using this & therefore would recommend trying it.
