Advantages: does what it says
Disadvantages: -
I have always considered my eyes one of my best features, but the only thing is its extending eyelashes to make them stand out more and look longer which I find hard to do. I have tried so many mascaras and for daytime use most of them work just fine in adding more volume to my lashes, however they do not add length. I have tried false eyelashes and they do give the right effect but it's the making sure they stay on all night, the trouble to stick them on and buying them all of the time which is a lot of hassle when if you could get a mascara to create the same effect it would same money and time.
Benefit cosmetics are worldwide famous because of their quirkiness and originality to their products. They have a creative way of selling them with interesting product names and also are used by celebrities worldwide too. They are a bit pricier having their own counter but I usually think they are worth paying that bit more for. Jean and Jane Ford are the creators of this brand hailing from San Francisco where their boutique created answers for many beauty dilemmas in the city. Its popularity then turned into a worldwide brand with over 1,000 counters in 25 countries!
The Bad Gal Lash Mascara has a distinct packaging matching that of its partner Bad Gal Eyeliner. The box is black on two faces and pink on the other two. It is a rectangular shaped box and on the front it has the Benefit logo in small text then the Bad Gal text in pink and lash written in fancy white. It doesn't have a picture of the product but the mystery is classier looking.
The actual mascara itself comes in a long tube like most mascara's do. It has a silver lid with brush attached. The brush head seems thicker and fuller than most mascara's tend to look and it is in a thick solid cylinder case, the mascara that is not the brush. Again the logo and product name on this and information on how much is included.
Now, for the actually product, to use just slowly untwist the silver lid at the top and pull out the brush. You will see it is thick and black which means it has enough product on it, then slowly just brush onto eyelashes slowly making sure you curve so it turns the lashes upwards. Then do on top of the lashes then underneath again to give volume on both sides and really boost that curl effect.
I felt instantly I noticed a different. I have been using a finer brushed mascara which was separating lashes and making them look good in the day but by night I want more exaggeration and this is what Bad Gal provides me with. It adds instant volume, making lashes darker and thicker looking and altogether with the right make up it should look just right.
The mascara states that it should give the effect almost of wearing false eye lashes but without the glue which I would be honest and say it does. It also comes in plum and blue if you don't just want the black smoky effect. These are quite nice girls, the advice they give on the website is for a pop of colour to add blue and plum just on the tips for a different kind of look.
The mascara is available for purchase at all Benefit counters which are located everywhere from Boots to Debenhams department stores usually.
The mascara is only £14.50 which isn't bad at all and will last a while. You can buy it also online at http://www.boots.com or http://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk the official website but both sites charge at least £4 delivery which isn't cheap at all. Sometimes though Benefit do promotions on their website like free delivery or 15% off of orders.
The official website has a list of all products, more about the company and product costs and information.
