Great mascara for longer lashes (Benefit Bad Gal Lash)

Advantages: Produces longer lashes, goes on easily

Disadvantages: None as such, but is it really worth that price?

I actually got a free sample of this mascara with a magazine. I had wanted to try it for a while, but was scared of spending all that money on it! The mascara I have is really small and cute, ideal for travel, but is otherwise exactly the same as the full-size product. The packaging is quite plain but also quite classy, though not as jazzy as some other Benefit packaging.

I should say that my eyelashes are very fair and quite short, so length is more important to me than thickness (at least as far as mascara goes...). I was impressed with the effect this mascara had on my lashes. It was very easy to apply and produced no clumps on my lashes. They looked very well defined and a lot longer. The effect lasted all day and the I only needed to use one coat to make my lashes look good.

Having said all this, the day after I went back to using my usual Rimmel mascara and I'm not sure that Bad Gal is all that much better! They are both great mascaras but Rimmel's is about half the price. Benefit's mascara is perhaps a *little* better, producing fewer clumps, but I'm not sure if it's worth paying all that much extra.

Having said all this, I've noticed that Benefit now do a purple mascara, and Rimmel don't, so I'll definitely be buying that in any case!

This is a really good mascara, I'm just not sure if it's good enough to warrant the price.
