Advantages: Amazing product, does just what it promises. Yay!
Disadvantages: N/A
BADgal Lash was my second buy from the Benefit range. Well, not really a buy as I got it free with Glamour magazine but I bought the magazine, didn't I? I'd been wanting to try the mascara for ages, but even though I'd heard a lot of fab reviews about it I resisted because of the £14.50 price tag. Not wanting to spend all that on a mascara to be let down, I thought my beauty prayers were answered when I saw the little 4g 'sample' stuck to my favourite monthly mag. So not only was I going to have beautiful lashes, but I'd be able to catch up on some gossip too. Bargain!
BADgal Lash (now to be forever known, or atleast in the review, as BGL - and yes, it's because I'm lazy) has one of the fattest brushes I've ever set my greedy little eyes on. This is fantastic for giving your lashes extra volume and in my opinion gives better product coverage - it also has a bit of a smaller 'tip' on the end which is perfect for catching those finer, smaller lashes on the inside corners of your eyes.
The packaging is pretty neat. Although it's quite basic - black pot holding the mascara with a mirrored screw off cap for the brush, in a perfect cylinder - and really should be pretty boring, Benefit have somehow made it very stylish. With minimal text in bold colours and fantastic fonts it gives it a very edgy look. Not using garish colours and sometimes nasty mirrored lettering like my other mascaras it's something I'm not at all embarrassed about pulling out of my bag for touch ups in the ladies, and looks effortlessly chic alongside all my other makeup on my shelf in my room.

BGL claim this will make your lashes 'full and voluminous' and I couldn't agree with it more! As I've mentioned in another review on here I used to suffer from trichotillomania growing up which mainly effected my lashes. Because of this they are pretty fine so need all the help they can get and with BGL my lashes look completely full and fluttery - something very few mascaras can do! I also find it pretty much clump free, even when applying a couple coats making it perfect for girls who really love the kind of dramatic eye look.
I have had zero problems with this smudging under the eye during the day, and it's completely easy to remove - even with a facial wipe.
At £14.50, although pretty pricey, I'd say this is worth every penny and I'll have no problems with paying this once my samples have all gone (My lovely Sister also buys Glamour so chucked the freebie my way, so I have quite a few!) Like all Benefit products they are more like 'investments' - well, investments in your looks anyways! So the price is always justifiable by the sheer quality of the product, and they really haven't let us girls down with this one.
So if you're looking for big, sexy, volumized lashes I'd say this little pot of magic is completely for you!
Summary: A fab mascara, for lashes you can be proud of!

- 06/11/09 I'm not keen on this at all, but I prefer whopper lashes. Good review though! |
