I have friends who swear by benefit makeup so I thought I would give their mascara ago. Firstly the packaging is quite stylish, simple black cylinder with a silver lid and Lash printed in big pink lettering on the front. The brush is a reasonable size, nice and big (not like those tiny micro brushes you get with some brands). I found the brush picked up the mascara well and it went on nicely, no clumping. On first application it enhances the lashes but not to a crazy extent- you could in my view where this mascara on a normal day. I wear glasses so can't really do a false lash style, but I think you could achieve very volumised lashes with this mascara.

The finished result looks pretty good. However, I don't think this mascara is that great in terms of durability. I find that after a few hours I end up with small black specs of mascara under my eyes which does not look great-kinda of ruins any attempts at a polished look! I mean it's not horrendous, no panda eyes but I like my make-up to be minimum fuss and hate trying to sort it later in the day.

I also find it quite hard to get off even with a make-up remover I usually find very effective. I always find that in the morning I need to have another go at getting it off no matter what I do the night before.

Overall, I like this mascara when I first put it on however it does not last well making it more hassle than its worth (especially given the price)
