Any girl who wears makeup will know the struggle of finding a decent eyeliner which will last all day, will produce a strong colour and won't break the bank - I used this one as part of my quest to find a brand I liked and found it to be of horrendous quality.
It costs £15.50 which is on the higher end of inexpensive, but it can be purchased from most beauty retailers easily as the brand is well known. The available colours are 'espresso' (brown), 'charcoal' (grey) and 'extra black' (black.) I chose the black as that is the colour I normally wear.
It comes in a cute sized box which it fits into perfectly, and it is easily stored on a vanity shelf or in a makeup bag. The eyeliner pencil itself is quite long when brand new.
It is described as waterproof, and will 'stay put - rain or shine.' This is the first issue I have with it, as although it applies easily to either the waterline or the eyelid, it definitely isn't waterproof. It smudges ridiculously easily and leaves you looking a bit silly if you use it for your waterline and happen to yawn! The colour is strong and thick on application but doesn't stay like this, or even on, all day. The blending tip isn't very effective due to this also.
I also found that it goes blunt really quickly with regular use, and is hard to sharpen it properly as it breaks a lot in between uses after sharpening, which means you're best buying a new pencil when it goes blunt.
Maintaining the use of it is too much work for quite poor results. I definitely would not describe it as good value for money and will not buy again. Benefit is usually a great brand but I will definitely steer clear of their eye makeup products in the future sadly.
I received this free in a magazine promotion where you either got the mascara or the eyeliner.
Just like any other eyeliner to achieve different looks, available in three colours@
This is a streamline effect to create dramatic flicks and also meant to be waterproof.
I thought this was a great colour, I received the grey.
However, there were two main issues with this product.
The first was the pencil/ crayon/ liner needed to be broken a little and then sharpened again to let the liner onto the eyelid. It wasn't as easy or fluid as some other eyeliners I have tried and the second was I don't actually find eyeliner runs too much in the rain anyway but this seemed to smudge pretty easily and at the end of the day with my regular routine of removing makeup there wasn't anything to remove it had removed itself!
I thought this was okay but for the cost of £15.50, its a waste of money when other brands are better and cheaper.
