Advantages: Great finish, good value, nice colours

Disadvantages: I don't get that much use out of the dark brown as an eyeliner

I am one of those people who retailers love - who impulse buy random bits of make up, use it once or twice and then end up with loads of half finished pots sitting around in my bathroom. So imagine my surpirse when one of my impulse purchases actually turned out to be a genuinely useful product and i now need to go and buy a new one as it's running low!

Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes is this product -bought on impulse in Selfridges on a late night shopping trek (for some reason I am always more susceptible to these impulses when shopping after a long day and work feeling and looking frazzled). IT costs £17.50 and considering it contains a concealer, three eyeshadows (or two and an eyeliner depending on how you use it), and two brushes (one of which is double ended) is an absolute bargain.

The eye shadows are lovely and sparkly so they adhere really nicely when appying them - I have other eyeshadows which are like pure chalk and end up all over your face but this isn't the case with Benefit. The brushes are excellent quality - in fact I am going to invest in both the concealer and the eye shadow brush in the full size ( the brushes you get with the set are minis). I use this set either with the lighter two shadows for daytime or the darker two for nighttime. If i'm honest I don't use the eyeliner brush with the darker colour as advised - I have the Benefit liquid eyeliner which i also love which does the job.

All in all this is a handbag essential - great colours, easy to apply and a professional finish.
