Advantages: Colours suit everyone and make eyes appear larger

Disadvantages: Unsure if it is suitable for vegetarians.

Benefit are an American company based in San Fransisco. They specialise in beauty products such as make up, skin and body care. Although they seem extremely expensive this product and others I have tried have all been exceptional and of much higher quality than other leading brands.

This kit includes 2 application brushes (one double ended with prescision brush), boi-ing primer, alabaster pink base shadow, cocoa shimmer contour shadow, rich chocolate brown liner shadow, compact mirror and illustrated step by step make up lesson. The colours of the eyeshadow are worth every penny as they look so natural, are the perfect complimenting tones and blend together really well unlike cheaper eye shadows which are chalky and just sit. The three eyeshadows can be used alone, however their purpose is to be used together to shade and highlight areas of the eye to make them appear bigger, there is a full instruction leaflet advising how to create the best effect with the make up. The primer can also be used for concealing blemishes on other parts of the face. For a smokier sexy evening look I apply the chocolate brown where the cocoa shimmer eyeshadow usually goes making eyes stand out alot more. I have used this everyday for the past year and still have some left so it lasts a long time making it worth buying.

The packaging shuts magnetically so its easy to flip open when you're in a rush without flinging its contents everywhere like you get sometimes with clip openers.

The only downside of this product is that although I have done extensive research into it i can't find out whether benefit products are tested on animals or not. If anyone could advise me on this it'd be great.

Price: £17.50

Summary: A little expensive but you wouldnt get the same thing in a cheaper product.

Benefit are a bit tricky when it comes to their animal testing - they say on their website they don't test their finished products on animals, but I presume that vague answer means that they do test in development! Cheeky answer to a question really.
