... The brush cannot be retracted and so it remains open to the elements the whole time - which isn't ideal really and I do like a brush where the bristles can retract inside the handle so that they are kept clean.
The bristles are fine and they are tapered and so concealer can be brushed on finely and the fine bristles help it to not be clumpy or too heavily applied. I've been using the Benefit Concealer Brush for the past 2 weeks since I had it at Christmas and I think that's given me long enough to be able to have reached a conclusion upon it's function ability. I'll start by saying that I do love Benefit and while they are generally quite expensive, I do think they are high quality products and you get what you pay for. The concealer brush looks like a standard concealer brush, but it looks more expensive that most and feels really well made. I had decided when i was geting married that i would rather spend some money on some nice make-up that can be used again and again rather than one sitting with a beautician doing my wedding day make - up. I pondered around a local department store and was greeted/collared (however you like to put it) by a young girl with a flawless face that worked on the Benefit counter. I decided to have a browse at the products and before i knew it had half of my face covered in concealer and then plastered in Benefits foundation. I was talked into buying this brush when I purchased Benefit Erase Paste concealer as she showed me how to use the brush and it seemed really good. However, I soon learned that sales assistants are paid to make the brushes look very useful but in fact I really do not use this that much anymore. I am a very big fan of Benefit cosmetics and I use concealer daily mainly under my eyes to stop me from looking tired but it is much easier to pat it on with your fingertips than use this brush as it is never smooth.
