This was another product I saw on youtube and simply had to buy! I know I'm a total sucker but I toddled off and bought it and fell deeply in love, and we all lived happily ever after!
Benefit is a very fun high-end brand, you can find it in the department stores and in some of the bigger Boots stores. It's available online but one thing I will say is beware of buying it on ebay, there are a lot of fakes on there!
* Our warm coral-pink cheek powder is your "coral blush for a tropical flush"!
* This shade cheers up every skin tone in seconds
I've tried a few corally/peachy shade blushers in the past and have found most of them to be too orange, this is the most perfect warm coral-pink shade ever! My skintone is quite cool and this warms me up perfectly without making me bright orange. There is also a lovely subtle shimmer in there to. This colour is perfect for Summer! There is also a soft, natural-bristle brush included which fits neatly into the compact, great for nights out and touching up throughout the day. I don't normally like the brushes you get with blushers but this brush is actually really good! The product stays on well and gives such a gorgeous glow to the skin.
HOW TO APPLY:
* Swirl brush in the box & blow off excess. Smile & brush lightly across the apples of your cheeks, starting from the hairline and working in. Then lightly dust over high point of face for that touch of sunshine!
Benefit packaging is my fave! It's always so fun, colourful and eye-catching. I love the quirky names to. This blush comes in a brighly coloured box with a leopard print design and a flip top lid. Inside the box there is a plastic covering over the blusher which holds the brush.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
This blusher is available for £23.50, it lasts a very long time because it's so pigmented and you only need to apply a little therefore I feel it is worth the money
I'm in love with this blusher! As you have probably guessed I will definately be repurchasing this item!
When I was younger, I used to avoid blushers like the plagues because I use to blush on my own enough as it was. As I've got older, my complexion has calmed down a bit and sometimes a bronzer looks too harsh on my pale skin. I decided to buy CORALista to give it a try having also been a fan of Benefits products.
What does the product do?
The product promises to add a touch of colour to the cheeks to warm up your complexion leaving you looking healthy and cheerful. It is described as being a warm coral pink shade that will leave you with a tropical flush.
How do you use the product?
The product can be applied on top of bare skin that has been moisturised or on top of you make up as a finishing touch. You can apply the product using the supplied brush or using your own blusher brush. You need to swirl your brush over the powder in the box and then blow or tap off the excess. You then smile and apple the powder to the apple of your cheeks by starting at the hairline and then moving inwards. Benefit also suggest that you dust it over the high point on your face where the sun would naturally catch you but I don't use it for this purpose.
Packaging and Price
The product comes in the standard thick cardboard box that Benefit packages its blushers and bronzers inside. It has an eye catching and beautiful design on the front which is really colourful. It has an animal print sticker in the middle with the name of the product written across it and some swirls and stripes of pinks, blues and greens. It comes with a brown wooden edged brush with soft white bristles which forms itself into a square which fits in the box. A mirror comes included in the lid so that you can apply the product on the go.
The product will cost you around £23 which is expensive but these products do last you a really long time if you look after them. They can be found at stores with a Benefit counter such as Boots or Debenhams and they can also be bought from a range of online websites.
Application and Performance
The product has a tropical scent to it which I was pleasantly suprised to find when I removed the lid. It smells like peaches which is definitely not an essential in a product of this price but it is a lovely added bonus. The packaging is quite sturdy but they get damaged and roughed up over time. The brush inside is useful for applying the bronzers but I prefer to use my own rounded blusher brush to apply this. When you swirl your brush around, you'll see that the powder isn't packed that tightly and some powder with be loosened in the pot.
I applied this to my hand the first time I used it to see what I was working with. I was suprised to see how pigmented this product is and there is a massive colour pay out. This is a good thing but I knew that I'd have to be careful too if I wasn't going to go over the top. The colour is a coral pink just as promised but it has a frosty golden edge to it which gives it a luminescent finish on the skin.
When applying it to the cheek, the colour is easily translated onto my skin. It glides on easily and the colour looks so beautiful. It is not natural looking but it doesn't make you look overly made up either. It does give you a healthy outdoors look which brightens up the complexion no end. The colour is buildable so if you wanted a more dramatic look you can make this look as intense as you want. The colour is also easy to blend so you don't have to have any edges to the colour.
The product has quite a creamy consistency even though it's a powder which means it doesn't sit looking dry on the skin. It has long lasting results and will stay in place for hours although it is easy to touch up the blusher. It is gentle on the skin and hasn't caused me to develop any blemishes or to caused my skin any irritations. It is easy removed using my usual make up remover.
All in all, if you look your blushers then you can't go far wrong with this one. It has a gorgeous coral pink colour which is highly pigmented and buildable so you can achieve the exact look that you want. It is gentle on the skin and long lasting so you'll look lovely all day. The product is expensive but my other similar purchases from Benefit have lasted me well over a year.
I was never really into blushers until i found coralista, I found that other blushers made me look a bit like a doll, and I was always applying too much or too little, I could never get it right. (cue holy music) Then i found coralista and have never looked back, I am now on my third, since it is the one constant in my make-up. It's the perfect shade, the little brush it comes with is ideal and it is never heavy or too much.
The amount you get for the price will not please everyone. It is expensive and, when used very day, will quickly run out, it's also worth noting that when reaching the end of its life, the product becomes increasingly more difficult to extract from the box, since the little brush does not entirely reach around the edges. The result being that you are often forced to buy a new one before you have used 100% of the product.
I do understand that it may not suit everyone, different skin tones may not suit this girly shade and my mother in particular has remarked that it is too light for her tastes, since when applied it comes out much lighter than the picture. I myself have a fair complexion, and so is the perfect shade because it is not too dark. It is an expensive purchase so you should be sure that it is the right one for you before buying.
I got this blusher as a present two years ago and have been hooked ever since!
Coralista is very well known powder blusher by Benefit. Colour wise its a pretty mid - hot pink/ coral with a little bit of gold shimmer right through.
Instead of the usual plastic round container blushers usually come Coralista is presented in a funky little square box. The box is a mix in colour ( greens, pinks, oranges) and with a bit of a leopard skin pattern. As well as looking pretty the box is very functional, its sturdy and protects the blusher. I have dropped mine a few times but the blusher has been unharmed and kept entact by the box! There is also a little square brush with this blush , its small enough to fit neatly in the hid but large enough to blush your cheeks in one swoop, perfectly designed!
How Does it Work ?
Simply brush this across your cheeks - the brush is short but wide and the bristles are soft and gentle on the skin. The blush is easy asborbed onto the cheeks to give a bright yet natural looking pink colour. Once applied the colour lasts for hours and gives a lovely glow. When I started using this product I got a few compliments about how well my skin was looking which was a nice change! Also when you get to the end of the blush it doesn't break and separate like some other products.
At around £23 this is definately a pricing blusher, but I have to say that each blush has lasted me around nine months and they are well worth it
Blusher is an item that I use on a daily basis. Now when I use blusher I am not looking wanting to look like a clown so I just use a light covering across my cheekbones. This means that I am able to use a blusher for many months before it runs out and therefore I do not mind spending a little more money on something long lasting. Last time I picked up this blusher I paid around the £23 mark and this still looks to be the current price now with a 'box of powder' costing £23.50. This is advertised as being a box of powder that can make any girl feel like a Rio temptress any time, anywhere without the expensive airfare! I loved the sound of this and actually had already been tempted in to buying this by a friend letting me use some of hers on a night out.
When I am at work for the day I like to apply make-up, some people may not feel this is best for your skin however I like to look professional and as I have a good skin care regime of cleansing, toning and moisturising twice a day I do have quite good skin, most of the time anyway. I like to apply almost a full face of make-up but I like to go with lighter toners and do not like to go over the top. This means I only apply a light amount of blusher but I still want it to be effective without caking my skin and looking like a clown.
This blusher is a warm pink coral colour that is designed for use on all skin types. It is provided with an animal print box which is mainly pink in colour too. The box is a fantastic idea as you can put the lid on and know that any loose or broken blusher (if your handbag takes a beating like mine) will stay within the box until you upturn it and remove the top again. The box is eye catching but also functional and on more than one occasion I've opened it to find a small amount of loose blusher that might otherwise have been spilled or wasted when the box is opened. The packaging really works for me, it looks nice AND it serves a good function too in helping you avoid wasting blusher. Also within the box is a natural bristled brush that is ideal for applying the blusher to my face. Usually I use my trusty make-up brushes from No 7 as they have served me well in the past year, however with this blusher I always use the brush as it just coats with blusher and then transfers to my face with ease and with minimal mess.
Now I know you may be thinking that £23.50 is shockingly expensive, I guess it is, however the results from using this and the longevity of the product make it worth every penny! A little swish with the blusher brush provides enough blusher to cover one cheek area meaning I only need to swish this twice to complete my make-up application. When using this blusher I can use it for many days before noticing that it has gone down slightly and I have been using mine now for around 4 months and I still have plenty left to use!
I am very pale in complexion and while this may be 'fashionable' at times I don't use fake tan much and I do not sunbathe either (intentionally anyway) so I like to use a product to give me a little colour and brighten up my face in general. This is why I use blusher and I have been using it for a couple of years now, despite being in my mid 20s. I love the colour of this blusher as it is quite a pink colour rather than red and so it softens my face and cheekbones. Because this blusher is light it is possible to layer it a few times to achieve a darker look if you desire but I rarely do this, apart from the odd night out when I want to really stand out. I love how light this powder is and I love that it is a light colour that really compliments my skin tone. I do not have any problems with sensitivity when using this and it does not dry out or irritate my skin. I cannot notice that I am wearing this blusher either which is a huge plus point for me. I wear this for a full day at work and have no problems at all with it wearing off or smudging across my face either. This blusher is very long lasting and by the time I get home and start removing my make-up there is still lots of blusher left to remove proving its longevity.
I think you can tell from my review that I am a huge fan of this blusher. I wear this most days, occasionally using a different blusher, and I am able to layer this if I want a darker finish which is great. The price of this is high but personally I feel that a little goes a long way, the blusher is long lasting and the finish on my face is just fantastic. 5/5 from me!
A little while ago I went along to the Benefit counter to have a mini make over. My housemate had been for one and recommended it as it was a great way of seeing new products and they didn't go for the total hard sell afterwards!
The make up artist at Benefit introduced me to a few products I wouldn't have usually considered, including blusher.
I'd never really thought about using blusher as at the time I used a bit of concealer and a slick of mascara and lip balm! It was definitely an eye opener for me!
I wanted to go for a natural look and the make up artist asked if I wanted to try a bit of blusher and she recommended I try Coralista.
When I looked in the mirror, I was really happy with the overall result of what she'd done.
I think my impression of blusher before was that of older ladies covered in 'rouge'. The look she'd given me was a fresh faced, sunkissed sheen on my cheeks.
She didn't have to try with the hard sell as I'd already decided I fancied purchasing some to try out myself as it seemed to be pretty foolproof application wise!
Fast foward to today and I now have fairly big collection of blushers but Coralista is definitely my favourite go to blusher.
The colour it gives is a natural sheen, which gives you a healthy looking glow which is subtle and not over done.
I have quite fair skin with freckles and it compliments my skin tone but it also looks great on other skin tones too.
The blusher is fairly pricey but a little goes a long way and I can see it lasting a very long time.
The other downside of the product is the packaging. It is cardboard and so isn't great for having in your make up bag on the go. I believe that Benefit are updating some of their packaging to make it a bit more user friendly. I don't really rate the brush that comes with it either but I always use my own brushes to apply it anyway!
I first came across this when I was desperately on the hunt for a new blush. Mine had just burst all over my bag and I had sworn off Rimmell for life! Stomping around Debenhams in a huff with life, I caught the eye of a Benefit saleswoman. I tried to make a run for it but I was cornered! One test off this blush however.....
Coralista comes in a square and very colourful little cardboard box, with a pull off lid. The colours caught my eye first off with the pinks, greens and leopard print details. How very fancy! The box is tiny and fits in the palm of my hand and is quite light. From this alone really you would expect the worst.....
Underneath the lid lies a mini blush brush with a wooden brown handle and white soft bristles. However, as the brush isn't round as a normal blusher brush would be, application with this brush leaves a very noticeable line on the cheeks, which needs to be blended out. As brushes go though I found it was good as it is soft and doesnt wear away too quickly as I have found happens with some
Coralista is unsurprisingly a coral coloured blush, which for me leans more pink than orange on the coral spectrum. It has a touch a shimmer which is great if you like a bit of sparkle and it definitely adds to the overall wow factor of the product. My skin tone would be fairly light and I applyed the coralista over my foundation and bronzer to give my cheeks a bit of colour. It definitely looked more natural as some blushers can give your cheeks a tangoed look!
At first I thought there wasn';t much blush in the box itself as it looks quite empty. However it has lasted me now over 3 months and is still going strong, considering i wear this daily, I find this a huge plus in a blush ;) Texture wise I loved it also. It doesnt cause too much dust and there isnt an excess to be blown off. It feels nice and isnt chalky or heavy.
I found the blush to last an average amount of time. I put it on in the morning and it lasts perfect for about 5 hours before I top it up. I paid Euro35.99 (around £25-27) which is quite pricey but as a whole is definitely worth it if you want a quality blusher to last you a good amount of time. This is for a 12g box. I found it can be removed easily with a make up wipe also.
As a whole, out of ten I would give it a seven. I mark it down based mainly on price as the product itself is outstanding and by far the best blush I have tried.
I find Benefit cosmetics a bit hit and miss so I often approach buying their products with a little scepticism. Especially considering the high price tags for their products. I don't really rate benefit lipsticks and eye shadows at all but what they do excel at is blusher so I decided to part with my cash and give Coralista a try.
The blusher is packaged in a cute little card box which is the same size and shape as other blushers from Benefit. I love how they do this because it's so cute and makes me want to buy more benefit blushers so I can have a little collection (clever packaging!). It comes with a small brush with a wooden handle that sits nicely in the lid. Normally the brushes that come with blushers are totally useless and end up getting thrown out but this one does the job quite nicely. The brush is very soft and apply nicely to your cheeks. It's good for when you are travelling and you don't want to carry a big fat blusher brush around with you in your make up bag.
The colour is a coral that is slightly more on the pink side so it suits cooler skin tones as well as warm. I am quite pale with dark hair and usually avoid coral but this one suits my skin tone nicely. The powder is not at all chalky and blends nicely onto the skin. It contains a little bit of shimmer and has a pleasant light floral scent. It also stays put during the day and I find I rarely have to top it up. Overall it is the perfect blusher.
I went through a phase of piling on the makeup. Everything from foundation, face powder, bronzer and blusher! It was all too much. Too time consuming and not great for my skin either. But now I have my few essentials and I choose whether to use them all or maybe just one, depending on how I feel and how much time I have. My essentials are moisturiser, blusher and mascara. Occasionally face powder.
I love the Benefit range of cosmetics. I splurged out about 5 months ago and bought all my 'essentials' from their shop in East London. I didn't realise they had an actual shop; I had only seen them in department stores on online so I had to pop in. It was a quick visit that left my makeup bag bulging and my purse drained. But I think it was all money well spent.
** CORALISTA **
Coralista is branded as a 'Coral blush for a tropical flush'. It is a pink, warm coral blusher and is supposed to be suitable for all skin tones. The blush comes in a funky metallic box with an eye-catching animal print design. The pink, black and silver animal print is enough to catch your eye!
In the box also comes a cute, soft natural bristle brush that fits perfectly on top of the blusher so you never have to worry about losing it. The fact this blusher is suitable for any skin tone probably explains why it is the most popular when getting a free make-over at their counter. It's obviously a win-win situation as the makeup advisor cannot get it wrong!
** PRICE & AVAILABILITY **
The box of blush costs £23.50 if bought direct from Benefit. I have had a look elsewhere and it is available everywhere from Amazon to Boots. But the price averages out at £23.50. Sometimes they do offers at the counters but I don't think they happen to regularly.
It is expensive and to be honest I wouldn't usually pay this much just for a blusher. But in my opinion, this has to be the best blusher I have ever bought and I think it is worth the money.
** DIRECTIONS **
Swirl brush in the box & blow off excess. Smile & brush lightly across the apples of your cheeks, starting from the hairline and working in.
** USING CORALISTA **
The first thing to say about this blush is just how soft the brush is that comes with it. But don't be fooled. It is a small brush that holds a lot of powder and you really do need to only make a little swirl and it will have enough for one side of the face.
I have fair skin and sometimes blushers can either look too harsh and un-naturally pink or they just don't blend very well and I look very hot! I was really impressed with the tone of this Blush. It really is a tropical flush in the sense of its shade. It is a light pink / warm coral. Enough to make my skin glow and look healthy but natural. The brush blends the blush so well into the face and hairline so it looks like a natural radiant glow. It is worth noting that you can increase the intensity of the glow by applying another layer of the blush. So if you have been on holiday and have a tan, you don't have to worry about the blush not working with your skin tones. The coral shade allows it to blend in so well.
I do find that Coralista has a little shimmer to it. I like this because I think it adds to the natural glow and makes my skin loo healthy and bright. It isn't glittery and isn't overbearing but I know some people want a completely matt look, so do keep this in mind.
The powder is incredibly light weight. It doesn't dry out my skin or block my pores like some blushers do. Once it is on, you can't feel it at all. It won't make fine lines stand out and crow's feet can be forgotten about.
I apply this in the morning before work, lightly brushing it over my cheeks and then blending slightly with my hands. I find it lasts me well into the day and even by about 3pm the blush is still present. If you are someone who likes to look their best all day then you may have to reapply but I am too lazy to do this. The box itself is small enough to fit in your bag and as I said before, the brush fits in the box which I think is brilliant. The blush also has a nice fresh peachy fragrance. So with every single use your senses are uplifted just like your complexion.
I have used this blush almost every day for the past 5 months and I am yet to reach the bottom. I think I have another two months at least to go before having to contemplate another one. I believe this is great value for money.
** RECOMMENDATION **
I would recommend this product to anyone that wants a simple blusher and who doesn't want to spend ages testing it against their skin tone. Great for people who want a holiday blusher as it will blend to match your tan.
It is long lasting and I just find it an overall reliable product. It works well every single time I use it, I haven't had any horrible over-blushed experiences and it leaves my skin feeling soft instead of the usual dry skin feeling. Slightly on the pricey side but I wouldn't be surprised if this lasts me more than 8 or 9 months which is brilliant.
Coralista is my absolute faviourite Benefit make-up. This coralista blusher on top of the some-kind-gorgous foundation is the best. It brightens up your skin and adds coulour to any type of skin. It comes with a great handy brush that applys it really great to your cheek bone so you ghet it write on target!
It lasts all day applys really well. It's definately worth the hefty price tag.
The packaging is really coulourful and catches your eye in the shop. It's really fun and a definate must-have in the make0up bag. I think that young adults and teenagers would love this product. It's luch and good for a girly night out with your coral heels and dress! It pulls the whole outfit together.
Howver, you have to be care full on how you apply it because sometimes you can apply to much than you actually need and it's really ovbious so be sure to rub it in! And definately check out the benefit website which has 'how-to-do' videos.
Definatrely worth getting a lesson at one of the brow bars and must have purchase!!!
Ever since I used my first Benefit cosmetics cheek powder I have been hooked. I love their cosmetics and their whole marketing strategy and look with their fun and quirky packaging and fun product names. I use a number of different Benefit products and love the look I achieve with them, natural, pretty and effective. One of my favourite ranges are their boxed powders which come in a range of different shades to give your cheeks and whole face colour and definition without being too heavy.
The first one I ever tried was their dandelion blush but for this past summer I wanted something with a bit more colour and glow so even if I couldn't get a tan from the awful English weather I could still look like I had some colour on my face. That's what made me try the coralista powder on recommendation from one of the girls at the Benefit counter in my local Debenhams.
For those of you who have not heard of Benefit cosmetics they are an America cosmetics company founded in 1976 by twin sisters in San Francisco. The girls are called Jean and Jane. Their visions was to create makeup with a whimsical candy store type theme. Nowadays the brand has over 1,000 makeup counters in more than 25 countries.
Coralista is said to be a, "coral blush for a tropical flush". It comes in a really funky little box with some animal print design on the front and the word Coralista written on it. The box is cardboard and has a lid that fits all the way over it too. Inside there is a brush that is pretty much the size of the box. It has a long surface area which I find is really useful is applying the powder. It has a nice looking wooden handle at the end too so you have something to hold onto. What's great is that the brush stays in the box all the time so you don't have to find or use another brush in your makeup bag to apply this powder. The brush comes with natural bristles so is really quite soft on my face but covers the area nicely and is easy to use if you like to sweep your powder across your face rather than dab it on as you would with say a compact pad.
The colour is really nice and works on my pale-ish skin and I also think it would work on a darker skin tone too. It's a warm pink colour but not as pink as say the Dandelion shade. It's a more coral pink colour which is a bit warmer and richer and gives you more of a glow than that pink flushed cheek look. The powder also has a bit of a shimmer to it so it has been perfect for summer wear. The look you will achieve is a cheek that looks healthy and a glow to your face that looks natural and not caked on. I find I need to sweep the brush over my cheeks a few times to get the look I achieve but after this it really does last all day. I have been using this powder practically everyday over summer and haven't really even made a dent int he box yet as was the same with the other versions of this Benefit product and so I definitely think they are good value for money. Yes, they are expensive, a 10g little box costs £23.50 but is a good investment in my opinion.
Coralista is a gorgeous coral pink blusher, which comes with a small wooden natural bristle blush brush which fits neatly into the 0.42 oz container. The blusher retails at £23.50 and can be purchased from Boots, Debenhams or can be dispatched to you within 24 hours from www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk.
I was first introduced to this blusher at a boots benefit make-up trial, I was reluctant to try it at first as I usually use bourjois blusher products but when the lady put the blusher on me I was really impressed. It was really flattering and leaves you with a shimmery pinky glow. The colour was perfect for me as I am a fair-medium skin tone, it was not too pinky and not too dark-the perfect balance. I can imagine that it would suit most skin tones as it is such a flattering colour. It is easy to apply and comes with a cute little brush. The packaging is really girly and attractive too, its decorated with a pink leopard print design. It is suitable for day and evening, which makes it a really versatile product.
The blusher also looks amazing if you mix it with high beam from benefit; it looks even more shimmery and really shows off those cheek bones; perfect for summer nights! I would not be without this blusher now and although it doesn't seem to last me too long as I use mine daily- I just can't seem to find a replacement! It can get quite costly because it is £23.50 a time, but for me it is worth it and I now feel bare without it!
I got this in a set for christmas and loved it! The blusher is a really nice colour, and looks lovely on your skin. It gives your skin a really good shimmery glow and also lasts all day, which other blushers I have tried have not done. I feel really bare if I do not put coralista on, as it gives your skin such a good look.
The packaging is really attractive as usual from Benefit; with a leopard skin, pink and green box. It also comes with a wooden brush that I can use on my skin to give a really good application. A couple of sweeps along your cheek bones and you're done!
I know this is one of the more pricey blushers on the market but it is well worth it. I have had mine for months and there is still loads left in the box. I will definately buy another when mine runs out.
So if you are into cosmetics and have never heard of Benefit, where have you been? Benefit was set up in San Francisco in the 1970's by the Ford twins. Over the years the product range has expanded, and the brand has gone global. One of the products that was added to the range was the box o' powders, each coming in a square box, Coralista is the coral blush offering in this family, offering a 'Rio glow'.
This isn't my first box o' powder purchase, I already own and have already reviewed my beloved Dallas. Having had such a good experience with Dallas, I ordered Coralista when Debenhams had it on a 10% off deal. I was really excited to have a more summery blush colour that I could alternate with Dallas.
Coralista comes in a square cardboard box, with a pull off lid. The box is covered in leopard and tropical palm patterns with the word Coralista in silver detail. In time the word Coralista and the leopard print pattern behind it rub off to reveal the word Rio underneath. This means the packaging is designed to scuff up, lookign scruffy quickly. I don't understand why Benefit have done this, as this mean the word Coralista is no longer obviously on the product.
I can't say I'm a fan of brushes that come with products and this one is no different. It is square, with significantly softer bristles than the one I received with Dallas. However, as the brush isn't round as a normal blusher brush would be, application with this brush leaves a very noticeable line on the cheeks, which needs to be blended out. The brush is small enough to be stored in the box, however if I wanted to apply the blush with the brush given, I would have to carry a separate blending brush.
The Blush Itself
Coralista is unsurprisingly a coral coloured blush, which for me leans more pink than orange on the coral spectrum. Right now I'm going to give out a shimmer warning, yes we have so much gold/ pink shimmer, that I have stopped using my High Beam. If you don't like shimmer this isn't a good product for you, but if you like a sparkle this blush should be right up your alley, and it is a two in one product.
So on the pigmentation front, Coralista looks amazing when swatched on the back of the hand with great colour pay off. Sadly, this did not translate when applying to the face, I am of a light to medium skin tone, and felt I really had to pack this on to get the effect I wanted. I do have slightly fairer friends who use this product and it seems to go on quite strong, and requires a lot of blending to look natural. When blended in, this product does result in a healthy summer glow, with defined cheek bones due to the shimmer; just as long as you aren't too tanned! Our skin tones aren't far apart, but for some reason the product seems to behave much differently.
To try and stop me using so much product and also to get a little more orange into the coral tone, I now use a cream coloured peach blusher underneath and find the effect is much improved, still natural and summery, but without the clown cheeks issue. Since purchasing these products Benefit has released a new lip and cheek tint Cha Cha Tint, which has a little more orange than Coralista and would look great when paired with Coralista to give that summer glow.
Texture of the product is again exceptional as with Dallas, when swirling the brush you don't kick up too much dust, so less of the product is wasted. It is a blusher that feels nice on the face, and is not chalky or gritty in anyway.
Another point to mention is the smell, I find Benefit almost always get this right, and in this case it is a triumph. Coralista smells of tropical fruit, non-descript tropical fruit, but tropical fruit all the same, which does remind me of being on holiday, although not necessarily in Rio.
As far as wear and removal goes, this blush is average at about four to six hours wear on bare (no foundation) skin, with an extra hour or two with primer, foundation or in my case cream blush. The product can be easily removed with standard make up remover or wipes.
Price and Availability
For 12g of product this blusher will set you back £23.50, this does sound steep, but when looking at price per gram this blush costs less than all its main rivals. In fact you are getting close to twice as much product as you would from a standard blusher from the likes of Mac, Urban Decay and Bobbi Brown. Benefit can be found in many department stores along with larger branches of Boots.
This is a cult favourite, and often gets a lot of praise on make up review sites. However I found I had to apply more product than expected to get the necessary colour pay off, and would suit light skin tones. A minor point, I really can't see women in Rio having cheeks this shade.
Four stars for a great value blush, with good texture and colour pay off for some skin tones, sadly not for mine; I was expecting to have to award this product six stars, but instead I am awarding a measly four.
I am a huge fan of benefit and this by far is the best product of them all! I bought this in House of fraser when looking for a new foundation the make-up artist popped some of this on and i have had it since! It gives a gorgeous glow and you only need to use minimal product, i use it daily and it normally lasts 12 months! the packaging is very funky and the blusher upholds well in the box, i'm always throwing my make up bag about and handbag but the blusher has never cracked. It comes with its own applicator which is ok but i use a different one as its quite long and thin. The colour is amazing its a coral pink with a beautiful shimmer which you can use in all seasons but looks best in summer, even the smell of the product is tropical! you can get this from all benefit counters and online where the price differs i now buy from ebay or amazon to get a better price, when i bought this in house of fraser it cost me £22.50. Alhtough if buying form ebay please make sure you get the real deal!!! You could even go instore and ask to try the product to make sure its for you as they do may different blushers however this is the ONE for me!!
