It's no secret that i'm a fan of benefit, but since it's higher priced than most high street brands I find that as cute as I find the names and as seducing as the packaging is, I need to be very objective before making a purchase from Benefit! I've never really been an eye shadow type girl since I could never really find shades that I thought suited me. However after getting talked into a consultation at a benefit concession stand in Debenhams I found myself getting made over. I really like the shades in the creaseless cream range and after using the one I purchased after the consultation quite a lot I can honestly say that these eyeshadows really are creaseless! I'm really quite impressed! The cream has a really nice consistency and is really easy to apply. I find they can be worn as a single colour though actually much of the range colours do complement each other. They are long lasting and after having mine for quite a while I can see no deterioration of the product. The down side is of course the price, but i think for something like this you might as well make an investment in a product that works. Cheap eyeshadow creams often do crease which makes them slightly pointless. A definite favourite from benefit!
Benefit creaseless cream shadow/liner is a gorgeous crease and smudge proof eye shadow. It is available in 20 shades, and mainly comes in subtle purple and pinkish tones. The product comes in a glass 4.5g pot and retails at £14. It can be purchased from Boots, Debenhams or can be dispatched within 24hours from www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk. I was first introduced to the product at a benefit make-up trial. When I saw the product I was unsure how it would sit on the eyes as I tend to use powder shadows as oppose to cream shadows; I have always found them greasy in the past. However this eye cream is amazing, it blends really well, you can easily apply it with fingers or a brush. It does not smudge and it can last all day long; it doesn't even run if you get hot or go on nights out dancing. It really does stay put! It can be applied sparingly for a subtle lot or more can be applied to produce a stunning evening look. I currently use the bronze colour busy signal, I am medium to fair skinned with dark hair and it really looks stunning day and night; one of the best eye shadows in terms of shade and durability. The product is fairly expensive at £14 a time, but it really does last a long time, I've had mine for 6 months and I use it fairly often. It does not crack and spoil like powder eye shadows when travelling, it can toss and turn around in your bag and will never ruin. The only downside to the product is if you do apply too much it can start to get greasy and this can cause problems if you want to apply a liquid eyeliner over the top. But if carefully applied, and with a bit of practice this does not become a problem. Overall without a doubt the best cream shadow/liner I have ever tried!
I am a complete make up hoarder I have now added the benefit cream shadow to my range follow having my make up done at one of the benefit counters, I bought this in the neutral shade of "Birthday Suit" A nicely packaged in a heavy bottomed clear glass pot with a black lid on. Each pot contains 4.5g of colour pigment and I find they tend to last between 6-12 months depending on how often you use them, even using them everyday I still get at least 6 months use out of a pot. *****PACKAGING***** - Definitely hardwaring and can take being flung about as I travel about! *****EYESHADOW***** - My first point is to note that I have incredibly sensitive skin and one of my major concerns with make up is the hypoallergenic aspect of it - I have to report that so far MAC have been fantastic with no problems. - Generally the colours available tend to be of the more neutral "base" shades and so I tend to use as an eyeshadow base, coupling with some of my darker eyeshadows for a more dramatic or smoky look - The eyeshadow stays on well throughout the day, and lives up to the no crease claim! *****APPLICATION***** - Easy to apply, it is a lovely cream which sweeps across your eyelids nicely giving full coverage - I tend to apply with a brush for a more natural look, but also as I am heavy handed I think applying with a sponge applicator could result in your eyes looking a little bit greasy! *****OVERALL***** - A little bit pricey at £14 per eyeshadow, but you really can see the quality. - Great for everyday make up use, for special occasions and I am also reliably informed that they work well as stage makeup under the bright lights and sweating You are paying a premium price but getting a premium brand and with so much variety you won't be bored of the choice!
As many of my regular review readers will know, I am a big fan of Benefit products, and I was recently given a free eyeshadow of theirs as a thankyou for buying a load of Benefit products. I was sent the Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Skinny Jeans. Skinny Jeans is a medium gray colour, with a smokey edge to it. The eyeshadow comes in a small, round pot which is see through, so you can see the product inside. The lid of the pot is black and has a few white birds on it, which I think are doves. This looks quite classy I think, and it is small enough to fit nicely in my make up bag without making it difficult to close. I am not one for wearing eyeshadow very often, so I can not comment on how long this will last if you use it every day. The idea of this eyeshadow is that it will stay put, without drying out, cracking or indeed creasing. I found that this eyeshadow was very easy to apply with an eyeshadow applicator, and a little bit of the eyeshadow does go far. It is easy to get a nice subtle colour, or to build up a colour for a better look. It glides onto the skin really easily, smooth and silky. It feels really light, just like a powder eyeshadow would. I was expecting it to feel too heavy, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was quite happy to find that this eyeshadow did in fact do as I was told it would. It stayed in place perfectly all night, and not a crack or a crease was to be seen, even after a night of dancing and sweating away in the clubs and pubs. When it comes to removing the eyeshadow, well this is nice and simple too. It just wipes off with a make up wipe, or washes off easily with a face wash or cleanser. Not even a trace is left behind. Nothing is worse than removing make up to find a load gets left on your face afterwards! As I said before, I had this product in a shade called Skinny Jeans, but of course this is not the only shade or colour available. There is a good selection of other shades. These shades are: RSVP - a shimmering pink, Busy Signal - a deep brown, Flatter Me - a Husky Pink, Tattle Tale - A creamy colour, Strut - a deep gray/blue, Stilletto - a deep purple, Sippin and Dippin - A peach glow, Samba-day Loves Me - A deep peach, Recess - Biege Peach, Honey Bunny - Nude, Gossip - Plummy Purple, Get Figgy - Deep and Shiney Purple and Flying Down Town - a Peachy Nude colour. If you buy these direct from Benefit they will cost you £14 each. You can buy them from Benefit Counters in stores like House of Fraser and Debenhams, as well as in Benefit Boutiques. You can also buy them from the Benefit Website @ www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk. If you look around for cheaper prices, online or elsewhere, please do look out for fakes as there is a lot of this happening at the moment. They may seem expensive, but if you look there is actually a lot of product in the pot and it will last a long time, so it is worth the price. I give Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow a 5 out of 5, as I just can not find a fault for it.
Since Ive started Dooyoo Ive been reading loads of make-up reviews on products from thousands of different ranges especially Benefit which to be fair I didnt know that much about before I started on here. To be honest I dont think I would have been able to afford much by Benefit before I started reviewing but lately with the little bit of extra cash I earn on here I seem to have been buying nothing but Benefit cosmetics and my latest purchase was this 'Benefit Creasless Cream Eyeshadow' which Id had my eye on for quite some time. Cream eyeshadow I feel is so much easier to apply and easier to wear than powder but Ive found that cream eyeshadows dont usually work that well on me so I hoped by paying a little extra for this one I would find the eyeshadow of my dreams. And I think I actually might have. Useful Information: Price: Depending on the shade around £7-£15 Stockists: Amazon, Debenhams & eBay. Shades: Most of these shades are very neutral - beiges & pinks - Bunny Hop, Birthday Suit, RSVP, Flatter Me, Strut, My Date's My Brother, Skinny Jeans, Busy Signal, Slippin' & Dippin', Hunny Bunny, Stiletto, Carte Blanche & Tattle Tale. I personally own the shade 'Busy Signal' which is a bronze shade with a very light shimmer to it - perfect for adding a different touch to my normal smoky eyes I thought. This cream comes in small glass tub - 4g for those who are interested - with a black screw off lid on the top. The top is very easily to remove and put back on and the tub is small enough to ransport with ease - and it wont break if its just shoved in your make-up bag like I do. The cream inside looks a little bit like a brown, shimmery mouss foundation as it appears to be the same kind of texture. The packaging like all Benefit packaging IMO looks really high quality and I love the design. The cream itself does have the same kind of texture as a mousse foundation but ever so slightly less thick - which ensures it is easier to apply and blend. I certainly recommend applying this with your fingers rather than an applicator or brush as I find it much easier that way. A quite small amount on your finger will be enough to cover your whole eyelid with ease - and it does give a really even and full coverage which looks pretty great on its own really - quite light and shimmery so its perfect for day and night wear. This can also be layered up for a more dark, dramatic colour - which I tend to do for a night out as it lasts longer and the colour is more dramatic that way. This can also be used as an eyeliner and blended with other colours to create a really striking effect. The colour of this one is perfect for me as it is dark enough to give me dramatic eyes but the shimmer gives it a really nice edge and makes it okay for daywear as well. Im not going to pretend this cream NEVER creases because eventually it does - after about 6-7 hours - which is brilliant in my opinion and it lasts even longer if you apply a primer beforehand. 100% recommended from me - Ill definitely be checking out more shades from this range. Thanks For Reading. x0 Salz 0x
I used to love Benefit cosmetics. I liked everything about the brand. The packaging, the names of the products and I also thought that the products I had tried were pretty good. The price was fairly high, but not in comparison to similar brands, it was fairly average. I had tried quite a few benefit cosmetics when I tried this one. Most had been pretty good, there were a few bad ones, but you can't expect one brand to be good with every product. I brought this because I was so sick of eyeshadows creasing on my eyelids. Every single time I brought an eyeshadow that promised not to crease, it would, and sometimes within a few minutes of even applying it! I was hoping this one might be different and at £14 for one eyeshadow, I thought perhaps it would be of a better quality and would actually work for me. When I first tried this I did my usual make up routine of using a primer, foundation and powder. I then applied this eyeshadow over the the upper eyelid and continued with the rest of my make up. At first it looked really good and I was really pleased with the result and look. Sadly, by lunchtime, I went to check on my make up and found that it was starting to move around my eyelid and a small amount had gathered in the crease of my upper eyelid. This was a bit of a problem so I did all I could which was to re-spread the eyeshadow back of the lid and hope it would stay put for a while. It didn't. For the rest of the day I kept checking it and everytime I did, it had all moved into the crease of the upper eyelid. After this had happened a few times I gave up and just wiped it off. It was just easier that way. Now I will say that I do have this problem with a lot of eyeshadows, but as this one is described as 'creaseless' cream eyeshadow, I had hoped it may be different to many others, but sadly it wasn't and I ended up passing it on to a friend. To be honest I have found that Benefit are a great brand for cosmetics where colour is concerned, but as for their 'solution' products, they just never seem to work for me.
I have three of these eye shadows now. Skinny Jeans a black green grey colour, Birthday Suit a nice neutral but still glitzy enough for evening and Stiletto which is a purple colour. I remember when cream shadows used to crease up as the day wore on, particularly in the summer so only tried these at the Benefit counter (free trial) make up lessons one hot Saturday. I tried them before Stay Don't Stray came out I'm sure but even then no creasing. They are very creamy and easy to put on and blend with a brush. Skinny Jeans looks different colours depending on what I have on the rest of my eyelid but I add more in the evening without feeling over made up. I did leave the lid off my first pot of Birthday Suit and mentioned how cross I was with myself to the make up counter staff because it had dried out a bit and cracked. She said no worry, just mix with a little water in the lid each time - she was right! Just replaced that colour since I wear it at least three times a week as a base colour and it finally ran out.
I'm not usually an 'eyeshadow person,' as my eyelids are very small, so eyeshadow collects around the crease in my eyelids. I was a bit apprehensive about trying this product, as I am so used to being annoyed by eyeshadow. The raw product is very dry, so I add water, and if my skin is dry, I add moisturiser. It glides on effortlessly, and the shimmer makes your eyes look a lot bigger. Hours later, the product is still in place, and there are no creases! This is definitely the best eyeshadow I have ever used. The colours are quite subtle, and not garish, so you look very classy. My personal favourites are skinny genes and birthday suit, which blend really well together. These eyeshadows are expensive, at £14, but I really think they are worth it. For quality and quantity. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to wear eyeshadow, but finds normal, cheaper ones too dry and irritating to use.
I love these Creaseless Cream Eyeshadows by BeneFit. They cost £14 each and you can choose from around 15 different and unique shades. These creams do exactly what they intend to do. They do not crease or budge. I took my friends children to the Zoo the other day...on a very warm and humid day I may add....and before hand I applied the cream eyeshadow to my eyes. Sure enough after a long day at the Zoo, my eyeshadow had stayed put, with not a crease in sight!! I was VERY impressed to say the least. These eyeshadows can also be used as an eyeliner too!! Almost like the gel liners you hear all about. I find that the best way to use the creams as a liner is to use the 'Talent Brush' that BeneFit sell. Or a very similar brush! The talent brush is designed for these eyeshadows in particular. so that you can use them for all over colour or just as a liner. Great!! A really quick way of putting the creams on your eyes as an all over colour is to warm up your fingers and apply ! No brushes needed! And so quick and easy. The creams blend really well this way. There is a colour for everybody with these eye shadows. And you can wear up to three all at once! one for a base colour, the other for your eye socket and the 3rd as a liner!! I find that the colour 'Strut' is a fab shade to wear day or night. It is a deep blue metalic colour and it goes fab with 'Birthday Suit' which is a light grey colour with a hint of shimmer. My other favourite colour is 'RSVP' which is a subtle pink shade that does NOT make you look like you have been crying which some shades of pink can do. Honestly, once you have tried these eyeshadows, you will want to collect all the shades !!! The only disadvantage with them is that I found that some of them did dry out after a little while which was such a shame because you don't need much of the product anyway so by the time you have used about half, the product dries out. A tip on how to store these is not to store them anywhere in too high or too low temperature, and make sure the lids are screwed on really tight so that the air does not get to them. And store them upside down ! These eyeshadows are allergy tested too so you are highly unlikely to get a reaction too. Try them, you'll love them!
Benefit creaseless cream eyeshadow is the only eyeshadow i wear, it comes in a wonderful array of shades,my personal favourites being birthday suit( a shimmery light brown/cream shade), Skinny jeans (a sultry dark grey perfect for lining) and tattle tale( a light cream that brightens eyes). The cream is fantastic and transforms eyes into sparkly shimmery beauties! The darker shades are great for creating a subtle line( i do mean subtle! their only downfall!) or blending from the inside with a lighter colour to add a bit more depth. Having used other cream eye shadows, I was worried that they would in fact crease or smear like the many others, however i was pleasantly surprised. They last a lot longer than most brands and don't seem to crease even when worn in hot weather on holiday. The packaging also adds to their beauty as like the rest of the range it is girly and quirky so who can resist? A fantastic product in my opinion and worth the £14!
I bought the Towne Car shade of this eyeshadow (black) as I find it difficult to apply liquid eyeliner and a friend recommended applying this with an eyeliner brush as an easier alternative. It's absolutely perfect for this job as it's a nice creamy texture that goes on easily and is also thick enough to give a properly dark line. I find it goes a bit too messy if you try to smudge it so I put it on last as a 'definer' over smudged eyeshadow. This is a long-lasting product, it will stay put all evening unless you rub at it (then prepare for the panda eyes look!) and it lives up to its name by not creasing at all. This surprised me as I thought a cream was bound to crease so I was very impressed. As the black is very heavy I don't apply it as an all-over colour so I can't say how well it would stay crease-free like that. This retails for around £13 but I picked mine up on ebay for £6.50 so was very happy with that. It also seems to last for ages even though there isn't really that much product in the pot. It comes in a little glass pot which is quite heavy and not ideal to carry around in the make-up bag so this is definitely not an 'on-the-go' application product for me but it looks very cute on my dressing table! Generally I'm very impressed with this product and I'm going to give it 5 stars because mine wasn't overly expensive, even at £13 this isn't a bad price in comparison to some brands which aren't as effective and long-lasting.
Im a huge fan of this company and to find that they have a product that can promise creaseless eye shadow, well it must be the best thing since sliced bread! But it wasn't. I don't know whether it is old age with me as my eye lids are slightly more droopy than a few years ago but this product didn't work for me. ****Background In 1976 the Ford twins created a san Francisco beauty boutique. The shope offered quick fixes to those in need and quickly became a sucess. Now has over 2000 counters in over 30 countries. Package***** The package of all Benefit products are always kitch and cute looking. This one comes in a black and white square box with doves on and a head of a women with glasses on. The lid is a black screw lid with little white doves on the front. Also comes in a glass pot. ****Price & Size I bought mine from Ebay and got it for £6.00 but you can also get it from Boots, Amazon and any Benefit counter in Debenhams (plus you can also get advantage points in Boots and sometimes a free make over or treats in Debenhams) The actual Benefit site prices it as $19.00 (approx £13.00) for 4.5g Net wt. 0.16 oz. These gorgeous creams come in 16 blendable shades that can be worn alone or mixed for endless custom looks. To shadow for sheer coverage just blend evenly from the lash line to brow bone or for buildable coverage just let the shadow set for 30 seconds then apply another layer. If you are lining just sweep the tip of the brush into shadow. Place the edge of the brush against upper lash line at outer corner of eye and steadily draw a line towards the inner corner of eye. You will then need to smudge into lash line. After applying this, I decided to add another coat and really push it to see how this would last for the day. It creased within an hour. I tried it as a high lighter for my eyes and found that a thiner coat worked better but still creased. The other annoying thing was that the lid cracked open in my make up bag and cause, over time, the eye shadow to dry up after a couple of weeks. Overall, quite dissappointed considering the actual price of this.
I am a huge fan of benefit make up, but never considered their eyeshadow, usually I would buy their creams and powders. What I love about benefit apart from their great range of quality make up for all skin colours it' their packaging. As a girl you'd want everything to look good in your make up bag, and having a benefit product in your bag just adds that extra style. Even though I have many benefit make up products I never used their eye shadow, till my friend gave me this as a birthday present. The eye shadow came in smaller box which had a clear window at the top where you could see the 50 style girl (the benefit girl). The shadow comes in a clear glass with black screw lid, which has 3 white doves on it. The shadow is amazing and it does what it says on the box. It is very silky and very smooth to touch. I have only used 2 shades, Hunny bunny and RSVP, the colours seem to be quite pale, so I do usually apply 2-3 coats at a time to achieve the shade I like. Saying that it is amazing, it does not crease at all, I've worn it clubbing on many occasions and it has stayed put without a crease line in the middle. Brilliant. I was very surprised to see it. There are about 15 other colours in total, and I think 20 including limited editions colours, I have a list below. Birthday Suit Bunny Hop Busy Signal Carte Blanche Flatter Me Flying down to.. Back in 1976 twin sisters Jean and Jane Ford opened up their first Boutique in San Francisco known as " The Face Place", Their passion for make-up mixed along with the high quality of the products sold, their originality and combined sense of humour which is depicted through the sassy packaging and witty product names started to attract a lot of attention and in 1990 they re branded and became as what we know it today "Benefit". At that point they had 5 Boutiques within the San Francisco area but with the help of word of mouth, popularity and high demand it soon started to see Benefit counters opening in Department stores across the world. They had literally put fun into make-up and girls and women were loving it. I am personally a huge fan of Benefit make up, I absolutely love it you could say I'm a bit of an addict and every time I pass a Benefit counter in one of my local department stores my bank card starts to have a nervous breakdown. I own a vast selection of their different products and I really do like their eye shadows, so when they bought out their Creaseless Cream range I had to give it a go. I had tried different cream eye shadows in the past but none of them ever performed or delivered, they were always a disappointment, they all seemed to have the same flaws that they would wear off within hours and leave a visible crease line along the socket line of the eye (not attractive) so when Benefit announced this new creaseless cream eye shadow I had to give it a go. Now I've always loved the packaging which Benefit products come and this did not disappoint. It had that usual cute, sassy colourful packaging that I have always associated with Benefit products in the past. The Packaging itself is a small square shaped box, to the front of it a small round window showing one of those typical sassy looking 50s girls we have seen many times before on benefit products and around the sides are various black and white designs with different patterns. To the top is a black and white dove design and within the centre of that design the name of the shade of the shadow clearly written centre. Inside this packaging you will find a 4.5g jar, the jar itself is a clear heavy glass jar (so you can see the colour of the shadow inside) and has a black plastic screw lid with a three white dove design on the top. The eye shadow itself is available in approx 20 different colours at present although some are limited edition shades and as with all cosmetic brands you find colours being discontinued and released. Current shades include: Birthday Suit Bunny Hop Busy Signal Carte Blanche Flatter Me Flying down to.. Get Figgy Gossip Honey Bunny Marry me My dates my brother Pre Nup Recess RSVP Samba-dy loves me Sippin n dippin Skinny Jeans Stiletto Strut Tattle tale Although I have noticed that depending on where you purchase your Benefit products from can depend on the shades which they sell. Now the eye shadow itself is ultra silky smooth in consistency so it makes it nice and easy to apply. I personally use a cosmetic eye shadow brush when I apply this eye shadow as I find the application far easier, more precise and it blends better and is less messy. But that is just my own personal preference. I've found that the eye shadow colours themselves are pretty shear so I find myself applying a couple of layers but it does provide a lovely look on the lids and if you want to you can build the colour up as much as you want. So was Benefit able to live up to this claim that the shadow is creaseless and long lasting. I was a little doubtful after previous claims from other branded cream eye shadows had failed to produce but I should never have doubted, as usual Benefit had delivered. After application in the morning my eye shadow was still looking as fresh at 8pm, in the evening, the eye shadow was almost certainly smudge proof and had lasted all day long and best of all there was NO crease line. Benefit Creaseless cream eye shadow retails at £14.00 for a 4.5g jar and although a little expensive its a small sacrifice for such great results and high quality :D
I am an absolute make up addict, but when it comes to my eyes I am lazy; alittle eyeliner (or a lot on a night out), mascara and I am done. I have been looking for something interesting to do with my eyes for a while. I was really pleased when I came across Benefit Creaseless Crème eyeshadow. I have always loved Benefit, I love the quirky packaging and products are always easy to use and make you look gorgeous!!! The eyeshadow is not the best of Benefits labelling packages, no catchy slogans or cute graphics. The little black box it comes in is also abit deceiving as the box is double the size of the eyeshadow. Packaging could be made smaller; take note Benefit--care for the environment, don't waste paper. It does come in a cute jar once you get past the cardboard! The eyeshadow itself is amazing, I started with a sheer colour, RSVP, to act as a base to wear with liners and also so I could wear alone for day/work wear. It is crease-proof and smudge proof, it can be applied easily with your finger or a brush and contours the eyes brilliantly, and best of all you can build the colour up for a dramatic look or stay sheer. Creaseless crème eyeshadow does what it says on the box and is definitely worth the £14. I have since purchased a more daring colour called Skinny Jeans, which is perfect for creating the Smokey eyes look so easily. I highly recommend this product.
