Advantages: Great colour, packaging, stays in place all day

Disadvantages: Not travel-proof

I bought this gorgous little blusher on recommendation from a friend who always seems to have a gorgeous glow about her that I really envied. It cost me £22.50 in Boots, which is a hell of a lot more than I would normally pay for a blusher, butI really think it's worth the extra!

It comes in a cute little green box with a lift off lid, which unfortunately doesn't fasten, so it's not very practical for keeping in a make-up bag or taking away with you. Apart from that the packaging is really well designed. It has a plastic cover over the blusher with the brush in, which you just lift off to get to the blusher underneath, and replace when you're done. The brush is a neat little size which fits nicely in the box, and the actual blusher itself is a good size, you do get a decent amount.

Benefit describe this as an exquisite brightening face powder, finely spun with delicate mauves and pinks, to leave a petal like finish. It's supposed to instantly turn your complexion from dull to radiant, and leave you looking fresh and youthful.

The brush, whilst being small, actually has a decent surface area, and it's surprisingly easy to apply the powder easily and quickly despite the fact that the bristles are in a rectangular arrangement rather than being round. The bristles feel extremely soft and it feels really nice on the skin, not harsh or irritating as some brushes can be.

The powder itself is a lovely pretty light pink colour with a shimmery luminosity to it. It feels silky to touch and glides onto the skin effortlessly. A very small amount of the powder is enough to give a subtle healthy glow whilst maintaining a 'no make-up' look, or it can easily be layered up for a heavier rosey look. Even with a few layers of the blusher on the colour is light enough not to look ridiculous or too heavy, so it can easily take you from day to night.

The powder feels weightless on the skin, and unless you really do cake it on you can't even tell it's there. I've found it goes on well over both liquid and powder/mineral foundations, and it stays put all day without rubbing or slipping off. It doesn't make my skin feel clogged or irritated even after wearing it all day, and the colour doesn't fade. Removing it is easy with either cleanser or cleansing wipes.

All in all I'm really pleased with this blush. It's really cute and the colour is gorgeous, though I would say it is suited more to fairer complexions as it wouldn't really show up on darker skin tones. It lasts a long time, so whilst it seems expensive it does actually work out as good value in the end, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to achieve a healthy, youthful glow.

Summary: A great powder blush to give a youthful glow to your skin

I'm really torn with this - I really don't think it's worth the money for just a pretty finish, but somehow every time I finish one I buy another one pretty much straight away! In fact, I have one nearly finished in my makeup box right now and a new one waiting to be opened! Clearly I like it more than I think!
