decent primer (Benefit F.Y...Eye!)

Advantages: eyeshadow goes on really well over it

Disadvantages: does not have the staying power I might have hoped for

I have always had real problems getting eyeshadow to last more than a few hours, this is especially annoying for me as I like to use a couple of colours at a time for shading. I previously used a Barbara Daly eye primer but found over time that its consistency was too much like a heavy stick concealer and the yellow colour made it impossible to put transparent style shimmers over it.

the consistency of Fy..eye is much better, it is almost mousse-like and goes on really well, however it is best to be sparing with it. Also the colour is much closer to that of skin tone. I find that shadows of all textures seem to go over it really well but I like to give it a couple of minutes just to settle before I do this. That said, as a Benefit fan I think that I expected it to work just a little more effectively as stopping the colour 'disappearing.' After a bit of experimentation I have found that it works best when She-Laq is put over the eye colour also; This way you get the best of both worlds as you the colour looks better over the primer but the sealer makes it stay longer
