Glimmery Shimmery Eyes, for a couple of hours anyway.
Member Name: murphymurphymoo
Advantages: Looks lovely when first applied. Feels smooth on skn.
Disadvantages: Doesn't last very long.
I have very sensitive skin and normally stick just to YSL makeup. However, I was persuaded into buying this from the slightly pushy make up lady on the counter of my local Boots store.
So how does this match up to my Yves Saint Laurent stuff?
Well it goes on to my skin very easily, it is sold as a multi purpose product, the Benefit make up assistant said that it could be used on eyes, cheeks or lips, but I only use it on my eyes as I find that it feels dry on my lips and doesn't work as well as a glimmer brush on my cheeks.
I tend to wear this just on a night time and apply a couple of times to get a real gold look around my lower and upper eyelids. Some people would probably wear this during the day, however, my office is pretty conservative so I tend just to stick with neutral make up.
I find that the durability of the Benefit Gilded stick is a bit of an issue. It certainly doesn't last me all night. I find myself reapplying afer a couple of hours. Despite me using a primer to try and make it stay in place. However, my gilded stick has lasted me over a year, and at £12 thats not bad at all.
A minor point is that like all Benefit make up this looks lovely on your dressing table and I feel confident whipping it out in order to reapply in bar toilets.
In conclusion the Gilded stick is fun, especially for a night out. However, for daily wear, it would not last past lunch time and whilst busy at work you'd be pushed to find the time to reapply.
Summary: Grabs attention when initially applied, but you'll soon be back in the loos reapplying.
