Advantages: Conditions you lips
Disadvantages: Doesnt last - poor value for money
Benefit "Her Glossiness" is obviously meant to be an A list product - it is intended to make you feel like a princess.
Cost £13.00 rrp or on sale on the Benefit website for £11 or look on line for cheaper alternatives.
Shades include
Wheres my stylist
Talk to my agent and Life on the A List (which is a cute pink colour).
Packaging
Actually for Benefit is very plain - just a tube with the only kitsch bit being the writing.
Ingrediants
The recipe is a top secret but includes Jojoba oil intended to condition your lips as well as providing colour.
Application
Comes with a wand for easy application, just rub onto your lips and away you go. Most of the colours are actually really subtle so you almost dont need a mirror. Of course please do double check before you go out - I would hate anyone to go out with lipstick around their mouth because of my review!
Scent
Although not designed to be a fragrant product there is a sweet smell about the product - if you accidentally get some in your mouth (something I do frequently with lip gloss) the taste is also sweet - not unpleasant although I would not be choosing to eat this.
Colour
The colours are subtle as mentioned above - they are not meant to be a colourful lipstick but a gloss with a tint. I have a shade in a baby pink which looks very pink in the tube but is subtle on.
Does it make your lips look glossy
Yes - when you put it on your lips look so glossy it is amazing. That is the upside - the downside is that this effect only lasts for about an hour tops so if you wear this to work you will find that you have to frequently reapply.
Conditions lips?
Actually works really well to soften the lips and make them feel nice. This could have something to do with the fact that you have to reapply every hour or so.
Is is worth £13?
I didnt pay £13 - got mine free with an edition of Glamour magazine so feel free to say that no way would I pay £13 for this lip gloss - it just doesnt last long enough. As you are frequently reapplying the tube goes too quickly. It does make your lips look good and feel good but there are plenty of cheaper products that will also do that!
Summary: Her Glossiness ?? Not at £13

- 07/08/09 I find that Benefit Cosmetics can be really hit and miss: some of their products are amazing, yet some are terrible. |
