      over priced liquid blusher

I believe these jewels came out a couple of years ago (2002/3?) along with the glamazon liquid bronzer. They may now be discontinued as they can't be bought from benefit.co.uk or any benefit counter either. I never really thought much about the glamazon as a make up consultant offered to try it out on me at Debenhams and it didn't even really show up on my skin. I'm olive skinned but was looking a bit pale that day, however, the tanner did nothing for me at all! I didn't like the way it felt on my skin either, it was just like a liquid, say water with brown colour in it and she just kept rubbing and tugging at my cheeks, I really did not like this!

Anyway, the style of these bottles were pretty similar to the liquid bronzer, except they're a mini version. The consistency of the product was liquid but quite powdery as well and dried on into a powder finish. On the website I read that you could use these jewels anywhere on the face, as an eye or lip colour or on the cheeks. I didn't get on with using it on my eyes or lips, as on my eyes it just caked together in the crease of my eye. It wasn't a good lip colour either as it dried out the lips and felt quite uncomfortable. Anyway, I didn't think this product was that great as I could just use it on my cheeks and even then would it clump together in dry places and look quite awful. Sorry benefit, this one's a miss for me and I'm sure it got discontinued for a reason.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Good quality make up

Im a big fan of benefit so when they released there jewels range a few years back i think i was one of the first to buy them.
Benefit girls who sell the products are usually over helpul and before long i was in the seat and having a makeover, its a liquid colour that can be used on your cheeks or lips some people put it on there eyes too.Ive only used it on my cheeks as a lovely bronzer,it goes on like a powder and you rub it in with your finger tips but just to make sure im going to try it on my lips now becuse yes after 3years i still have half a bottle yes its still as good as it ever was too brb....
Actually i really like it on my lips i dont like strong colours and it just gives you a shimmer so yeah i recomend it for lips too.
The packaging is nice it comes first in a dark brown rectacular box and inside is a little bottle,i think theres 2 sizes i had the smaller one i think it was about £14.00 and so far its lasted 3 years and hasnt dried up or clogged ,you actually dont need alot of it
So there we ago,to sumarise its nice make up its more expensive than standard highstreet but in my opinion well worth it

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

An utterly fabulous product, it took years off my eyes.

I've been hearing so many positive things about Benefit cosmetics of late. It sounds wonderful and looks quirky but expensive and not only do I worry that I will purchase something and it won't be so good as I think it should be as my expectations are as high as the price tag, I'm equally perturbed that I will fall in love and have yet another expensive habit!

Yet I always read reviews and the women who write them look so attractive and youthful that I yearn to try the products for myself and I wonder does using this stuff make these women look this amazing or are they just naturally blessed in the looks department?! I'm an optimist however and hope (and cross my fingers) that it's a case of me just finding the right products to look like a supermodel lol) Saying that they may not be even wearing Benefit products in their photos lol

So I nearly fell over when I was TJ Hughes when I spotted amongst all the 'cheap make up', thrown in baskets, rested a pretty little bronze coloured box saying Jewels on the front and underneath Benefit! I spotted a £1.00 label on it as well. I didn't care what it was I thought of all the reviews once again and legged it to the till before anyone could snatch it out my hand and I bought it all excited!

        What is it ....

Jewels.... Benefit, Liquid Eye Glimmer (12g)

        About Benefit....

Well it's the brainchild of Jean and Jane (twins) and they wanted to be Models or Actors after graduating university but then decided why not open a Boutique together? So in 1976 they they opened their first store in San Francisco called The Face Place. It was here they launched Benetint, Lip Plum and Ohh La Lift. They opened their second store in 1990 and they renamed The Face Place to Benefit and stores such as Harrods started to stock the products and now has over 650 counters all over the world. All of the products have unusual names and pretty packaging and is now internationally renown.

        The Packaging....

Exactly as it shows on the photograph at the top of this review! A bronze coloured box with some leopard print on it. It clearly states what it is and who it is by and on the back tells me how to use it and the ingredients. Really nice packaging and I can see why the ladies like it so much! The bottle is round, clear and glass with a black screw on/off lid with some leopard print on around the bottle top. It states it is 'Jewels'. It has a long fairly thin brush applicator and there is so much product in it. You can see it all shimmery and iridescent through the bottle. I love everything about the packaging! (my colour looks the same as the one on the photograph).

        The Product....

Can I stop at wow?! I'm blown away!

This is simply the best eyeshadow/glimmer or whatever you want to call it I have ever come across! I'm sold on it totally! Wow!! I was going out yesterday to meet my mum and her friend for a coffee so it was a make up day for me. So out it came. It's one of them products you use that you look forward to applying and I get all excited at the thought of using it. It really is a pleasure lol

The best way to use this is to apply it first then use eyeliner. Or use eyeliner and try to miss it when applying the eye shimmer. The first way is much easier and less messy! To apply this is simple. Dot it on and smudge with finger or an applicator. You don't need loads of it. It coats the eye lid beautifully. It goes on wet as it is liquid and it drys as soon as you have smudged it in to a powder feel. However it doesn't feel like a powder it makes your lids feel smooth and soft and like velvet but the colour is really deep. It shimmers beautifully but not an in your face cheap look so really any age could wear this product.

Although it is so soft and gentle it's heavy duty with no smudging and it doesn't dry out or crease but it doesn't stay wet and transfer anywhere. I do worry about creasing as I have small wrinkles on my eyelid so I tend to stay away from moist eye-shadows for this reason. However this sits on the eyelid and made my eyes look so open. I applied some black eyeliner pencil and over the top, applied some liquid black glitter eyeliner and a good lashing of Clinque mascara and I looked fantastic if I do say so myself.

When it came to taking it off, I had been wearing it for 8 hours and it still looked as perfect when I had applied it. Still shimmered and no cracks or anything. Just stayed perfect! It's amazing! As I stated earlier it may look pretty as hell but it ain't budging off it's a tough operator. I removed mine with eye maker up remover and it wasn't the easiest product to remove. It has a will of steel. It isn't a big problem and I just noticed it wasn't as easy as my powders I usually use. It comes off in layers and as your removing it you can see its made up of tiny glitter particles so that's why its so difficult to budge. However this is not a complaint at all!

I look at other women sometimes and think how polished they look, how sophisticated. I strive to have that 'celeb' floor-less look and I can't get there for the want of trying. I want to know their secrets! I feel like Ive found it. I felt a million dollars and I cant rave enough about it. I came home from town and wanted to throw all my make up away and go back to town to purchase everything in this range. It is sublime believe me and if I can achieve this look and feeling so can you!

£14.50 a bottle in Boots but do look around you may bag a bargain like me! However if I have to spend that price I have just quoted I shall have to... so thanks very much reviewers for helping me spend my hard earned cash GRRRRRRRRRR lol
