oh lemon-aid - i love you, i love you, i love you!

i first bought this a few years ago after having a trial at a benefit counter. the counter girl put it on my makeup-less eyes with a wet brush and i could see a real difference between the eye with it and the eye without.

this is a yellow product - something that i thought was a little odd. the way it works is to brighten your eyes and smooth out the skin on your eyelids by providing a matt base for makeup and balancing out the colour of the skin. it's a little thicker than normal cream eye shadow so a little really does go a long way. i last bought this about six months ago, so the £15 price although seemingly steep at a single purchase, works out really cheap in terms of length of use/price per use. i've still got another few months worth of use left too, so as far as i'm concerned, this is a really good value product.

i use this every day as part of my makeup regime. i put it on using my ring finger rather than a brush as i find it goes on more smoothly this way, and the heat of my skin warms it up a little which makes it even easier to put on. it literally takes a few seconds to smooth on and it acts as a brilliant base for eyeshadow. because, as said above, it is a little bit thicker, the eyeshadow i put on top seems to "stick" in place all day which makes me even happier. i don't use particularly expensive eyeshadow - the cheap £1.50 stuff sticks as well as the £10 eyeshadow and looks just as good.

the product comes in a really hand compact. it has a mirror which is slightly magnified which is useful for putting on the product and other eye makeup, particularly because the compact fits in my hand and means i don't have to juggle with another mirror.

the long and short of it is, i love this product. the packaging is useful, it's a very useful part of my makeup regime and it really does brighten up my eyes. love it.

Summary: great product, easy to use and it actually does work
