A good base but a seriously innacurate product description (Benefit Lip Plump)

Advantages: Smooths your lips, keeps lipstick on for longer

Disadvantages: Does not fill in lines or plump up the lips

This product was highly disappointing. At 22 years old I did not buy it with the aim to fill in my lines around the lips but more to plump up my lips. It is a cream that you dot onto your lips and leave on for a couple of minutes before applying your lipstick. It is a beige colour and you do look slightly ridiculous if you put it on in front of someone as it does set in the lines of your lips and any dry skin you may have.

It is quite a pricey product from Benefit and I think there are much better products on the market. Obviously we don't expect miracles in a tube but something worthwhile for the money and some sort of effect would have been nice.

The only use I have for it really is that it does seem to keep my lipstick on for longer so now I use a lip plumping cream and then apply this afterwards before putting my lipstick on. It has also lasted a long time and I do tend to use it everytime before I go out. It does make the lips a little dry though but this is usually remedied when you apply your lipstick.

I won't be buying it again as I can get a cheaper lipstick base. From an older point of view, my mother bought this product too more for the point of filling in the lines and she noticed no difference at all. It smooths over some of the lines making your lips appear smoother after an application of lipstick but there are other products that you can buy for this use and really I would not bother wasting money on it because the description on the box is nowhere near accurate of what the product actually achieves.

Overall good if you want your lips to appear a bit smoother and want your lipstick to last longer but for the purpose of plumping them up and reducing lines its really quite useless.

Summary: Look around for another product, will not be buying this again.
