Advantages: Only need a little bit, Makes lips look smooth

Disadvantages: Pricey

I found an advert for Benefit Lip Plump on the internet and after reading reviews here at DooYoo, decided to try it myself. It claims to make the lips appear younger and fuller by acting as a sort of Polyfilla for lips - filling in fine lines in the lips to make them smoother, thus giving a fuller appearance.

I ordered it from Boots Wellbeing as my local Boots branch does not stock Benefit make-up. It was delivered within a few days.

When I opened the package and saw the size of the Lip Plump I was initially disappointed as the tube looks quite small - however I now realise that a little bit goes a long way and I'm sure the tube will last for months and months.

True to what other DooYoo members have said - the liquid itself looks a little like foundation. Taking the wand which it comes with, dab two SMALL DOTS on your bottom lip and two on your top lip. Take care not to put too much on or it won't dry and will come off when you apply lipstick.

Unfortunately the instructions aren't very clear - it states you put two dots on your lips but it doesn't tell you what NOT to do i.e. rub. I made the mistake of rubbing the cream in with my finger - and it didn't work. I found I had to smile into the mirror (looking a little silly - make sure no-one watches you do this!!) and gently dab the Lip Plump along my lips and just outside the lip line. Your lips will go a little lighter - this is normal. I use quite a light lipstick and my lippy did go slightly lighter, but I find this helps to make lips look fuller anyway as darker lipsticks certainly make lips look slim.

TIP: - apply a little bit of lipgloss or an even lighter colour lipstick to the middle section of your bottom lip - this helps give the illusion of a fuller lip.

All in all I would recommend the Lip Plump and don't be put off by the price as a little goes a long way, and I'm sure it will last for ages (I've only had mine a
bout a month so am not sure yet!)
