Advantages: A nice treat for BeneFit fans, Great packaging
Disadvantages: Results are short lived, not worth the very expensive price tag
My lips are probably my favourite thing about me. I just love that pout if I do say so myself ;) Anyway during the winter days my lips will just feel dry and horrible, not good! Anyway whilst surfing the internet I stumbled onto the BeneFit cosmetics website (stumbled?yes?right) after browsing to see if they had any new products I noticed something new, something called BeneFit Lipscription. The next time I was at a BeneFit counter I asked the lady if it was available to buy in the UK yet, and she informed me it had just come in a few days earlier, how psyched was I? Out came my credit card and my friends jaw suddenly dropped after she saw the £23 price tag. ?£23 for a lip balm? You what?? she squealed repeatedly. Oh, does she not know me but at all? In a way I wasn?t sure why I bought it exactly as the last few BeneFit products I have bought have been so disappointing I thought I was scarred for life (well not physically but you know what I mean). I guess no matter what I will always be a BeneFit devotee! I tend to have a bad habit of biting my lips when I?m nervous, or bored or any time come to think of it, the bad weather hasn?t been helping either! So as you can guess my lips are never really in great condition. Was Lipscription my saviour in a tube? Lipscription comes in the form of two different tubes, one containing buffing beads, and the other containing silky lip balm. The packaging is absolutely fab and stays true to the original packaging of Dr. Feelgood. If I didn?t mention it before Lipscription is an offspring from the Dr. Feelgood range, which is a lovely velvety complexion balm. The tubes are both silver and very kitschy, I certainly don?t mind having them in my make up box. Each tube contains 15g, and if used sp
aringly can last for quite a while. The buffing lip beads are created to scrub away dry skin, which is quite ideal for the winter. The box advises us to use this scrub 2-3 times a week. If you do this the ?wonder? scrub will get rid of dry flakes leaving you with a perfect pout. The buffing beads also contain AHA and jojoba which can only be a good thing right? When I opened the tube I was greeted with a thick white cream, which had tiny beads in it, which would I imagine scrub away the dry skin on your lips. I used a tiny bit and began to rub it slowly on to my lips, I could feel it getting rid of the dry skin but once I?d washed it off I could only see a slight difference. I figured you need to use it a couple of times before you see a difference, I even stopped biting my lips to see if it really worked! But the same thing happened. Yes it did remove the flaky skin off my lips but it didn?t give me the results I was expecting. The result was also short lived as only an hour later my lips began to feel dry and flaky again. It had pretty much felt like I hadn?t used anything to begin with. I decided to use a bit more this time and it actually worked out much better, my lips felt nicer, but again only for a short while, the best results come with using quite a lot of the buffing lip beads, which isn?t good as it would run out very quickly. I was hoping the silky lip balm would help me think otherwise and yes it did to an extent. This balm is quite nice. It?s quite a thick lip balm, quite similar to Vaseline, which when applied leaves you with soft lips, but it felt very similar to my Kiehl?s lip balm, which is miles cheaper. You can apply the lip balm sparingly which I guess is a good thing, as it?ll last longer. My lips did FEEL kissably softer, but they didn?t look that impressive. For £23 I woul
d expect my lips to appear soft, smooth and looking fabulous but it just looked like I applied any random lip balm. And I know it sounds crazy but it made the creases in my lips way more visible, which wasn?t very appealing. I know that sounds like a silly thing to say but my trustee Kiehl?s lip balm doesn?t do that. Just to get some use out of this product I have tried to use the lip balm on it?s own, and to be honest I find it?s thick consistency quite greasy after a while. I found that it really doesn?t last that long on my lips anyway. I?ve had Lipscription for quite some time now but I rarely use it to be honest. To get kissably soft lips I tend to gently rub a wet towel over my lips then apply a lip balm, which gives me instantly smooth and soft lips. For people who want soft lips but can?t afford to fork out £23 for this, I recommend just using a wet towel, not only is it free but also pretty much gives you the same results. This product does the job but in this instance that?s not good enough. I was expecting a ?wonder? product just like the box informed but I was met with something completely average. I know it sounds like I may have been asking for too much but there are other and may I add cheaper ways to get soft lips. I thought this would be a fancier way for me to get a luscious pout, but that?s the problem, that?s all it was. A fancy product. Overall I thought this product was okay, but not fantastic. It?s something I?ll use now and then but only if I can be bothered. Hey what happened to the enthusiastic girl who loved to shower herself in luxurious, and expensive make up? I think BeneFit fans will love this as it is a nice treat but I genuinely don?t think it?s a must have. Get it if you feel like treating yourself, otherwise don?t bother; it really isn?t worth the price tag. Li
pscription is available to purchase from department stores such as Debenhams, Selfridges and is also available in larger boots stores. (`*?.¸(`*?.¸¸.?*') ¸.?*')® «°'¨`?.°BabyGirl°.?'¨`°» (°¸∆.?''(¸.?'''?.¸)` ' ?.∆¸°)
