I have mixed feeling about Benefit Cosmetics as a whole because personally I feel as though a lot of their products are overrated and overpriced for example the Booing Concealer is £17 barely covers up anything however on the other hand the mascara, "they're real" is amazing.
Anyway, this highlighter is amazing in my opinion!
A pro is that it give an amazing glow to the area which you apply it. Along with this it stays on all day giving the face a great glistening and youthful look. Along with this it is great for any under eye circles making you look as though you had a peaceful night sleep. I would highly recommend this product to people who doing any type of education. As I understand that students can barely ever get sleep because of the hard studying during the day.
However a con to this product is the price for the full product is £17.50 which I personally think is quite expensive compared to the highlighters their is in the drugstore.
I personally love the packaging as it is very simple and get's the point across without looking too much or too boring. The packaging is very easy to screw on and off with easy and comes with a doper applicator which is easy to apply. This kind of applicators are the best because they are not to harsh on your skin. Concealers that are not package right meaning you have to apply with your fingers is not good.
this product is amazing!
its perfect for when you have tired eyes or simply just want a boost.
you can put it on after or before your foundation and i simply put a few dots around the bottomof the eyes and dab it in with my little finger.
it blends in really nice and you can see the difference straight away.
i purchased it for my wdding day just because as the night goes on my eyes do tend to get heavy and look tired and this worked wonders : )
i did top it up a little bit throughout the night over my foundation but it still ddi the same thing!
i actually got this from ebay but you can buy it from most beauty stores and its not too expensive for a good name like benefit.
its good for nights out, everyday and special occasions.
depending on your skin type you may need to use a bit heavier than what i do but it lasts a long time either way.
BeneFit is one of my favourite brands of make-up. I first came across it many years ago when I was introduced to the Dr Feelgood Balm which I still use to this very day and other items which I cannot live without include Badgal Lash Mascara, Hello Flawless Powder, Benetint and Hula Bronzing Powder. For me with this brand you get exactly what you pay for.
There are a lot of products on the market today which claim they can solve all those issues of having dark circles, bags and shadows under your eyes and they range from the odd lotion and potion to foundations and products like this one. Dark circles under the eyes can be caused by many differing factors such as not getting enough sleep, lack of Iron and many other different reasons. I definitely don't have any medical problems to cause such an issue and therefore know it is due to lack of sleep and that there are many different products sold on the high street which claim to combat the problem.
I often find that I have tired looking eyes if I have had a meeting which has gone on late into the evening, I've got home and find it hard to wind down and spend a few hours sitting in front of the television or reading my book and then suddenly remember that I have got an early morning meeting the following morning. The end result being that my eyes become slightly puffed up and I am left with dark circles under my eyes looking like I've done ten rounds in the ring with Mike Tyson. So I have over time resorted to trying different kinds of products from eye pads, cucumbers, used tea-bags and creams in an effort to look a little more awake and alert and to feel much better about myself rather than self-conscious that I look washed out and tired.
One of the products I have also grown to love is called 'Ooh La Lift' which is titled as being a "Legendary under-eye brightening boost" which is like an instant eyelift! Well I always have some Touché Éclat in my make-up bag because that is also a fantastic product and another one I couldn't live without, but this item I only purchased because there was an offer on in Debenhams and because I hadn't been sure whether or not I would it, I asked for some guidance from the BeneFit make-up lady.
Ooh La Lift is sold in a 7g tube and anyone who is an avid fan of this brand will know that it is the same size as their Lip Plump. Sold in lovely pink box, inside you will find a smallish tube, which is a lovely pastel pink colour, it also has the words 'Ooh la Lift' written in a black colour. The tube also hosts a twist on and off lid which is a silver colour and once opened, attached to the lid is an applicator.
The cream itself is a similar colour to the tube and is pastel pink and it contains raspberry extracts which you can catch a hint of if you put the applicating wand to your nose. The raspberry extract which is full of vitamins and it helps to nourish and hydrate the skin. There are also light-reflecting pigments which instantly perk up tired eyes making you look more alert and awake.
When it comes to use this product, similarly to Touché Éclat you use the applicating wand to apply three little dots of cream under each eye and then using your fingertip gently pat the dots towards the centre of your under-eye without rubbing the cream into your skin. Then once you have done this, you should notice that those dark circles under your eyes have been minimised if not covered up completely, obviously it depends how dark those circles under your eyes are. This product can also be applied on your bare skin, which is how I would usually use it, or over make-up which I sometimes do if I want to make doubly sure I look alright and of course you can re-apply it during the day should you feel the need for it, but I find that once I have applied it and then double check myself after getting ready in a morning or in an evening if I am going out, I don't need to re-apply.
I am a big fan of this product and although it will cost you £16.50 to thereabouts depending on where you purchase it from, it does have a good long shelf life because I've been using mine for 4 months now and it is nowhere close to being empty, though I don't use it everyday. For me this is a product worth its money and a good alternative to Touché Éclat. It is also widely available from places such as Debenhams, House of Fraser, Boots and other outlets that have a BeneFit counter.
One final tip that I was told about when using this product is to put it in the refrigerator the night before you need to use it, then when it comes to using it you get the extra bonus of a soothing affect as it is applied to your skin and it does feel really lovely if the cream is ice cold when applied.
