Foundation fake (Benefit Some Kinda Gorgeous Foundation Faker)
Member Name: mimiw
Advantages: Good packaging Disadvantages: Greasy and orange in tone. 'Some kind-a gorgeous' foundation faker was, overall, a disappointing product. Usually Benefit products live up to their exciting names, but the cute retro packaging on this one seemed to be more a distraction from the make-up. It claimed to suit any skin, but I found it much too orange in tone for my light olive complexion, and the 'semi-foundation', although light (in texture and coverage) and easy to apply with the sponge applicator, was greasy and definitely required a powder layer on top. The plastic case it came in was well-designed, with a built-in mirror and separate compartment for the sponge. I bought it in New York, a much better option than paying UK prices, so I consider mine good value. It's about the same figure price in dollars as pounds. For anyone with dry or combination skins of the right tone who are looking for a very light alternative to foundation I might recommend this product. It does even out the skin well but will not cover up spots or heavy blemishes effectively. I would always advise testing all make-up (especially foundations) first to check they are suitable for your complexion. Summary: A disappointing light foundation. |
