I just saw briefly in the previous reviews that Speed Brow is discontinued, however, I brought this from a Benefit counter earlier this year in Boots - so i'm only guessing Benefit brought this back? And true right!!
Speed brow a great eyebrow product, especially for those with thicker brows and need a bit assisting in keeping them in place. It comes in a little, thin container and the brush is like a small mascara brush. After brushing your brows in place, it is a quick setting and tinted brown gel that helps styles but hold your brows in place for hours. I use this everyday, and it is handy to pop in my handbag.
Speed Brow is a lightly tinted brown gel, which is great as some previous eyebrow styler gels I wore left a residue or too wet-ish brows that got annoying but the speed brow blends nicely with my almost black colour eyebrows. The product actually holds well on its own, but sometimes when going out in the night - I lightly spray a tiny bit of hairspray on the brush to prolong the hold.
Speed Brow costs £12, and it is something I will always re-buy as it styles and holds my brows efficiently. I love the fact it is quick setting, so it does not stay 'wet/gelled' for long. Great for on the go.
Benefit Speed Brow is an excellent product which does exactly what it says on the box.
This product tames and tints your eyebrows, getting rid of any stray hairs. The product doesn't hurt or sting nor does it have a particular smell, and it isn't sticky or difficult to apply.
You brush the gel in a single stroke along the brow, following the shape of the brow. The gel sets almost instantly and your brows will be complete in around 2 - 3 minutes.
It comes in a small tube similar to a mascara, with a wand for easy application. The tube is quite small so it has the ability to fit in your handbag, however I would definately suggest that for your first application you give yourself ten minutes to figure out how to use this product as it can be quite tricky the first time.
The product is £12.00 from benefit, which can be ordered online or at any of the benefit counters at House of Fraser, Boots or large department stores. I found it cheaper online, as low as price as £7.50/£8.00.
I thouroughly enjoy this product and the tube does last quite a while!
Benefit Speed Brow is a coloured gel you use to tame your unrully eye brows. It costs around £12 for a 3g tube at your local Benefit counter.
I became a fan of Benefit cosmetics and products before my wedding earlier in the year. I had bought several items, and spotted this in my lunch break one day. Of course, I decided I couldn't possibly face my wedding day without it! As with every Benefit procduct, the packaging was highly appealing. If you are not familiar with the brand, the whole range is packaged in lovely 50's style retro designs.
The actual speed brow product is a small mascara type tube, with a wand just lke mascara. The gel is colured, but semi-translucent sio it gives a natural finish to your brows. It is available in 2 shades, one for darker brows, and one for lighter. You simply brush this on in upward strokes to groom and lightly colour your brows.
While I like the speed of this product, I think you can achieve a more professional finsh using an eyebrow pencil and then a little bit of good old vaseline to set the brows. I guess the clue is in the word, 'speed', a good solution if you want a quick fix and a good one to carry in your handbag.
£11.50 in boots, but shop around because it can be found cheaper on line elsewhere.
Comes in a mascara shaped tube with a black screw lid. The tube comes in a box.
What does the product claim to do:
Benefit Speed Brow, tint, tame & set your brows in record time with this brush-on gel that dries to a natural-looking finish. One shade dresses up all brows!
How to use:
Apply to shaped brows to tame them and keep them in place. Use the applicator brush to sweep through the brow in the direction you want them to set.
I hate my eye brows! When i pluck them i look weird, so i tend to leave them quite thick.
I usually use a clear mascara to tame them and keep them in place but i saw this product when it was on offer and thought i would give it a go.
It did what it said it was supposed to do, my eyes brows did look good and stayed a good shape. BUT they didn't look any better then when i use my cheap clear mascara on them.
It didn't leave any residue or white bits, and it didn't feel sticky like some products can do.
Since the product is £11.50 its really not worth spending the money on when it really doesn't do anything more amazing than what much cheaper products can do.
The only good thing really was the funky packaging, but that really doesn't make it worth spending that kind of money.
6/10 Because it does what it says it does but its far too expensive for what it is!
I thought this product was great when I first got it. Its great if you have eyebrows that move out of place. It really defines and tidies up your eyebrows, keeping them set in one place all day long. If your someone who's eyebrows have slight gaps between the hairs but they are shaped nicely this product is probably right for you.
I have never been able to find a shade of eyebrow pencil that doesn't make me look too made up or just plan ridiculous! This contains a subtle shade of brown that does the job wonderfully.
The only downside I found to this product is that I think that the effects are so subtle that it's probably something only you yourself will notice. It depends how much of a perfectionist you are. Also the product doesn't last very long at all, a couple of months if you use it regularly! Annoyingly I found that it seemed to go sort of bitty after a few weeks! For a premium brand I wasn't impressed at that. Although its not a problem you just have to run your finger over your brow to sooth out the clumpy bits.
I won't be buying this product again as I can't forgive its negatives when I'm paying such a high price for a premium brand. £11.50 for 3 grams.
Speed brow retails at £11.50 and is an essential partof my makeup bag - I couldn't do without it. Benefit declares: "tint, tame and set your brows in record time with this brush-on gel that dries to a natural-looking finish," and this product literally does exactly what it says on the tin. Unlike Benefit's 'brow-zings' which left my eyebrows looking somewhat ginger, 'speed brow' tints your brows yet leaves them looking completely natural, and whats more, fixes them in a shape that will last all day. Without speed brow you would never know I had eyebrows, they are so fair, but this leaves them shaped and defined, yet looking completely natural. It takes 2 seconds to apply and since one application lasts all day, the product itself will last you a fair while. At just £11.50 this is an absolute bargain, and worth its weight in gold. It's by far the best eyebrow product I have ever tested.
Benefit speed brow is a brow gel that gives your brows a nice hint of colour and helps it stay in shape all day long. I'm not sure if this product is still available as I can't find it on their website anymore but I think it used to cost about 15 to maximum 20 pounds. If they're still around, you can get these from Benefit counters at Boots, Debenhams, House of Fraser and online.
This brow gel comes in a little tube similar to a mascara tube. It also has a mascara wand so you can spread it evenly over your brows and shape them. This is meant to make styling your brows easier and help it stay in place all day long.
My eye brows are a bit sparse and difficult to style so I didn't get on with this product as well as I'd hoped. I'm a bit disappointed so I'd suggest testing this at the Benefit counter first. I think people with full brows will get on better with this product as it will help shape, style and give them a hint of colour. This would be helpful for people who have light brows and want to make them pop more.
This is an ok product but unfortunately, I didn't benefit from this as much as I'd hoped. It looks a really good concept though and I'm sure many people love this stuff.
Once again Benefit have excelled themselves with this great product and I do not know where I would be without it, it leaves me eyebrows in place whilst tinting them, as I have fair eyelashes I need to enhance the darkness as they are fair and barely visible.
Speed Brow by Benefit retails at around £11.50 and if you shop around online you will find it either cheaper than or as part as a special offer as I did on Boots, I gain extra advantage card points with my purchase, which is a saving in the long term.
Speed Brow is a great product that comes in a gel and is used to tame your eyebrows and hold them in place, which is great as it stop those fly away eyebrows whilst leaving them looking natural and like they have minimal product on which is great.
At the same time Speed Brow also tints your eyebrows a slightly darker shade whilst keeping them in place and looking wonderful. This is a great product as it sets in no time at all.
For the best results on application brush on to the eyebrows in light stokes along your natural eyebrow line with the brush included, being careful not to apply too much as it is easy to over apply this product. A little of this product goes a long way so be careful when applying.
This product is great and is worth investing in as it does a great job and a bargain price unlike some of the other products I have tried and paid a lot more money and none have worked as well as this product.
Yet another beauty product review from me! You guys are gonna start thinking I don't do anything except apply make up and write reviews!
This review is about Speed Brow, a product which has now been dropped from the Benefit range but is still available at certain places online, so if you want to try it I would get it while the getting's good!
~Why do I want my eyebrows to go fast?~
No no no, you have got the wrong end of the stick there. This is all about getting your eyebrows looking all tidy and groomed-quickly!
~Ok, what does it look like?~
Well, the box is as it appears in the picture above- it looks like a mascara wand, with 'Speed Brow' written in white. The actual tube is basically the same as a small mascara, it has a black lid and has 'Speed Brow' and 'Benefit' written in white on the tube. There is 3g in a tube.
The product itself is a pale brown gel (it was available in clear too, but I can't find that anywhere)
~How do I use it?~
Get your eyebrows tidied. Do it your self at home, get a proffesional to do it, or if you are one of those people blessed with naturally tidy eyebrows (I hate you, by the way) then do nothing. I guess you could use it on eyebrows which haven't been shaped or tidied but what would be the point?
Step two: Brush the Speed Brow gel over your eyebrows from the nasal side to the temporal side of your eyebrow (that's posh talk for nose side to outside) The gel makes your eyebrows look a fraction darker, makes all the hairs lie nice and neatly and when it dries (which doesn't take very long at all) your eyebrows will stay nice and tidy all day long. It also gives a very nice groomed finish to the eyebrow area.
The effect is similar to that you can achieve by laboriously using an eyebrow pencil to give some definition and then using a clear mascara to hold the brow in place, but in a fraction of the time- hence 'Speed Brow'
And that's all there is to it! I must admit I don't use 'Speed Brow' everyday, I tend to only use it if I'm going out and putting on a 'full face' of make up and just want that extra finishing touch. Consequently, one tube has so far lasted me a year- and I have plenty left!
~Right, I'm in a mad rush to get some before it sells out! Where can I get it?
It's currently £11.26 at asos.com and £11.50 t HQHair.com, there is only the light/medium colour left as far as I can see, but this is a good neutral colour and I think only people with the very blondest of blonde eyebrows would have a problem using.
