I got this Benefit blusher product in a gift set that I got for my birthday a couple of months ago and I really like it. Although it isn't the cheapest product on the market, it is a good one and I would recommend it.
I really like this one because it is such a natural coloured face powder mainly thanks to the fact that there are four different colours that you swirl together. The colours are soft plum, rose, peach and pink which means that it will suit practically all skin tones and won't be too dark or light for anyone. I generally have quite dark skin and I find that it is perfect for me to give that little bit of a bronzed look without being over the top and garish.
You get a mini brush with this too in the pack and it is not one of those horrible scratchy ones, rather it is lovely and soft and fits into the little powder compartments perfectly so you can easily get all of the colours onto the brush evenly.
On the pack it gives you the tip ?for an extra pop of colour that lasts all day, sweep sugarbomb powder over benetint and high beam'. I find that this really does work and that it makes the powder stay on your face for a lot longer than if you don't apply it this way.
The only problem with this is that you can't really get a bit of just one colour if that is what you fancy. The powder comes in one square cut into four triangles, on of each colour, but there are a bit too small to be able to get just one colour, especially with the brush that is provided. Apparently this isn't a big issue because this is (according to the Benefit website) the number one selling face powder in the UK which is praise indeed. Recommended.
Having very fair skin and a heavy hand I find blush a challenge to get right, but SUGARBOMB can save me from myself and always give me a natural looking pinky peach shade, that looks natural all year round. SUGARBOMB is made up of four slices of lightly shimmering blush (peach, two pinks and a dusky plum) in one pan, and you simply sweep the provided brush over all four colours to create the highly wearable shade. You can also use one or two of the shades mixed together for a contouring/highlighting effect. I''ve also used the individual colour slices as eyeshadow - I especially love using the peach shade for this, as the soft shade flatters my fair skin and really gives my blue eyes more of a pop. I don''t usually use the brushes that come with Benefit''s Box O'' Powders, but Benefit have updated the style of brush that comes with this, so I do like using it for application; the flat shape of the brush is the same as the previous ones, making precise strokes during application easy. However the brush bristles now softly taper off, so that the brush never picks up too much product, and makes it easy to distribute the powder evenly onto skin. On the downside; SUGARBOMB is a sheer product and as such I don''t think people with medium/olive and darker skintones will achieve the same results I''ve been getting, and the shimmer is too light for soley using this product as a highlighting powder. After having used SUGARBOMB for over a year - and now having Benefit''s Rocketeur blush to compare it against - I''ve decided that I won''t be repurchasing SUGARBOMB, as when I looked at photos of me wearing the two blushes the shade of both looked similar on me, but I prefer the glowy finish of the Rocketeur blush. **** RRP **** 23.50
I am not a make up person really as I lead a busy life and often feel I don't have the time. However, after receiving this as a gift a year ago, it has transformed my make up habits dramatically. I use it everyday without fail. Firstly we need to consider the packaging; beautifully presented, looks expensive, oozes quality. Once opened there is a little mirror on the inside of the lid and then you notice the colours. Four beautiful shades of peach, plum, pink and brown displayed in 4 equal triangles. The brush supplied is a great size to hold. Once you brush over all the colours softly, a silky smooth coat of sun kissed colour emerges on your cheeks. All the colours compliment each other giving your face a stunning glow whilst remaining natural at the same time. For a deeper and shimmery glow for a night out, just apply more. Looks fab and I am always complimented on it wherever I go. Some have suggested the price for am blusher such as this is too expensive. I beg to differ. It is classy, looks great and is an essential part of any make up routine.
I decided to part with £23.50 for this powder after a Benefit store assistant applied it to my face. I instantly fell in love with it and it's adorable packaging!
The powder contains four different colours that are designed to be swirled together and applied to the face with the brush that comes inside the box. The brush is a nice little addition and it's perfectly shaped to fit into the box, so you can keep it in there - no more lost brushes! The different shades in the compact are peach, soft plum, pink and rose. The shades compliment each other well and they're all stunning. Also, the powder has a pleasant fruity scent to it that was unexpected but a nice surprise.
Once the powders have been swirled together they create a stunning look that's soft and feminine and completely gorgeous. The powder can be applied over foundation to highlight the cheekbones. I usually apply it over mineral foundation (powder foundation) and the powder manages to not only highlight my cheekbones but it adds a lovely shimmer to my cheekbones too. The powder can be applied on it's own but I think it looks better when it's teamed up with something else. Plus it lasts a lot longer then.
This product is a little on the expensive side but it's excellent quality and it really does last forever. You can also apply the powder individually with a small brush, as opposed to swirling the four colours around together. Just select the colour you desire and apply the one colour on it's own.
A lovely face powder.
My make up bag is always bursting at the seems with various products in all shades, makes and sizes. I have a tendency to buy something if it is on offer or in some wonderful packaging! But what I have found is that sometimes quality make up tends to have a higher price tag. One brand that I love is Benefit. Apart from the retro kitsch packaging the products themselves tend to be pretty great and personally they work well on my skin.
One Benefit item that is in constant use is the Sugarbomb Face Powder. It is one of Benefit's more expensive products at a retail price of £23.50 which yes is quite an expensive price tag when you compare it to other similar products on the market but sometimes quality is worth paying for!
What Benefit say:
"Swirl the 4 flattering shades of peach, soft plum, shimmering pink and rose powders together and sweep on cheeks for a sweet rush of gorgeous."
Sugarbomb comes in a small little box similar to other blushers and face powders which Benefit produce. The box itself is a metallic pink colour with swirls of black and gold around the packaging. On the top of the lid is the product name together with the Benefit logo. On the base of the box is the ingredients list and contact info for Benefit. Inside the box there is a little plastic clear tray which houses the natural bristle brush that comes with the face powder.
When you open the little box and take out the little tray you are met with the metallic hues of the powder. The powder itself is set into quarters. The powder is made up of four different shades, two shades of pink, a gentle heather and a perfect peach colour. The idea of the powder is that you use your brush against all of the colours so they mix and then sweep across your cheeks.
To apply the powder you simply need to gently dab your blusher brush onto the powder and then sweep across your face, particularly the cheek area. It is important though to avoid the eye area and just keep to your cheeks, forehead, chin and possibly the nose. Personally I really don't like the brush that comes with the powder as it is rectangular and I prefer a rounded blusher brush as I prefer the effect it has on the skin.
I apply Sugarbomb on a daily basis and I generally apply it on top of my normal face powder. I tend to use it as a blusher on my cheeks and then gently apply my brush across my forehead and chin giving my skin a bit of a healthy glow. If applied correctly it really does give a great colour on the cheeks, it really manages to light up the face. However, if you apply too much you can turn into a metallic looking clown, so it is best to apply a little first then touch up should you need more.
I have found previously that with some blushers that they don't last well during the day and I found myself having to reapply during the day which although is not a problem it would be nice to have a little lasting power and I am pleased to find that Sugarbomb can last throughout the day without having to be reapplied which when your having a hectic day the last thing you need to do is reapply your blusher! Although it doesn't look as fresh as when you first applied it but it still has enough colour and shimmer.
Overall, this face powder come blusher is wonderful. The mixture of colours really suit one another and once applied they give a nice, natural coverage which lasts for hours. Obviously being a blusher it is easy to remove at the end of the day whether with a face wipe or by washing it off. I love the shimmer effect that it gives as it is incredibly subtle yet gives your face a lovely warm, glow. Definitely a product I would recommend! 5 stars from me!

I was first given this Benefit Face-Powder as a present four years ago and I do not think I will ever stop buying it. It is absolutley perfect for my skin tone not just in the winter months when I am pale and pasty but also in the summer when I have a bronzed skin tone. It encompasses all the colours I would want when buying and or applying blusher, light pink, deep pink, orange and a slightly purple colour all with a pearly finish and combined they work amazingly!
Although it costs £22 it does last a reasonable amount of time, I personally use it once a day or sometimes more if I am going on a night out and one pot lasts me around 3 months.
The only tiny downfall of this product is the brush which accompanies all of Benefit's blushers, but it is not needed at all and can be thrown away and you can use any blusher brush you personally like.
I do not think there is another product out there which I rate so highly and for this reason I would more than happily reccomend it to anyone and everyone!
The history of Benefit is as colourful as its packaging. The business was founded in 1976 by a set of twins from Indiana. They opened their boutique in San Francisco which had a whimsical candy store atmosphere. The beauty products are now being sold in stores across 30 different countries, as well as worldwide via online sites.
Sugarbomb by Benefit looks like something you could find in a candy store. It is a blusher created using four scrumptious shades that combine to give you a beautiful and healthy complexion. Inside the box, four triangles of powder come together to make one delectable and visually pleasing square of colour.
The shades which include delicious peach, soft plum, shimmering pink and glorious rose create a natural and subtle glow making you appear fresh faced, even when you don't feel it. It costs around £24 so it doesn't come cheap and is available from large department stores like Boots and can also be bought online.
Benefit always excels themselves in the packaging stakes, and their packaging for Sugarbomb is no different and one of my personal favourites. It looks likes a close up of a French Fancy cake drizzled with delicious chocolate, with pinks and oranges as sweet as what is inside. Across the front in swirly writing is written Sugarbomb. As always with Benefits bronzers and blushers, inside the box is a soft, natural bristle brush.
Personally although, this brush works well for me with the Perfect 10 bronzer/highlighter, it's difficult to get a full sweep of the colours with this brush because of the rectangle shape in which the bristles are arranged, without kicking up lots of powder in the air as the powder is fairly soft. I use a normal round brush and finds that I get a better blend of the colours.
I always blush lots when embarrassed and hate it so I tend to avoid blushers like the plague. Despite this I have always been envious of how pretty and healthy my friends look when wearing blusher. And this is the main reason I love this product. Unlike Coralista which gives you a intense and obvious blush, Sugarbomb gives me a sheer, subtle blush. Its a gentle pop of colour that blend into your skin well, rather than a obvious block of blush on your cheeks.
When swirled together, the overriding colour is perfectly peach. It should be applied as you would apply your normal bronzer or blusher. It awakens and brightens your appearance, acting in part as a highlighter with its delicate frosty shimmer. The product also has a fruity aroma that is mouth watering but doesn't last once you've applied the product.
A negative of this product is that it only works on fair skin. My friends with skin darker than mine have told me that the product doesn't show up, other than leaving a faint shimmer. Another problem is that over time as you are swirling the colours together, they do stain each other in the box so you may not be able to use them separately. It is also an expensive product but nevertheless, it is high quality and long lasting.
All in all, if you are fair skinned and a little bit afraid of using blusher, this product will ease you in gently. It gives you a soft and subtle colour to your face which is suitable for the daytime and will brighten your appearance delicately. If your looking for something more intense, then Coralista by Benefit may be more up your street.
I have tried Benefits 'Dandellion', 'Corralista', 'Hulla', 'Dallas' to name a few, but this is my new favourite! Its absolutely gorgeous! The powder is divided into four different triangular shades (all varying shades of pinky tones) and very complimentary of each other. The box comes with a perfect sized brush however i prefer to use a thicker blusher brush to cover a wider area and for a more even coverage. just swirl your brush through all of the colours and apply! The colour is really warm and girly and has a slight sheen. Its really gorgeous and is quite versatile as i bought this with my normal skin tones and was still able to use with a tan! The only downside i have found that towards the end of the product the powder can break up, (although I have purcahsed this product 6 times and this happened only once, maybe I was a bit too enthusiastic! Still usuable though!) A great buy, although quite pricey once you see the effect I think you'll agreee its worth it.
I have several products of this type, including Benefit Sugarbomb, Benefit Dandelion and Benefit Thrrrob - and although they are all similar, they all are slightly different in tone and colour from one another. I am a huge Benefit fan and have always been impressed by their quality. A standard box of the Sugarbomb Face Powder costs £23.50 from the Benefit UK website at www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk. Although this may seem really expensive, in actual fact the powder lasts for absolutely ages.
Benefit Sugarbomb Face Powder is, unsurprisingly, a face powder! It is made up of a variety of shades of peach and pink which can be used over the face as a kind of perk-me-up powder which gives you a healthy colour and a very subtle blush. It comes with a nice thick brush, which is really good quality, which I use to brush the powder over my forehead, checks and chin area. I leaves my skin looking more even and flawless - and gives it a nice pink glow which results in people telling me how well I look. It also works as a powder foundation to mop up any excess moisture on my face. I believe it ends up giving me a natural look - and it also feels nice on my skin....light and uncakey.
The powder is pressed and comes in a sturdy cardboard box which is 5.5cm x 5.5cm x 2.5 cms - which makes it fairly bulky and too big to carry around in my small touch up make-up bag. However, the powder does have its own brush which fits neatly inside the box and so there is no need to carry around an application brush separately.
I do find that if I apply the powder in the morning, it usually needs a second application about five hours later in order to keep it fresh looking.
I do love the effect it gives me, like the other powders in the Benefit range. The look is natural and healthy rather than contributing to a very made up look. I would recommend that you get one of these powders as they do make a big difference. However, I'm not sure there is a big significant different between this powder, the Dandelion one and the Thrrob and so as long as you have one of them then this should be enough.
I have had a few good experiences with benefit make up so on a recent trip to the department store I found myself leaving with this in one of those gorgeous little bags!
Like all mu other experiences with benefit I wasn't disappointed! Here's what I thought...
The price; I paid £20 at Deb's which is on the steeper end of mid range! I have to say I always bought cheap make up (and sometimes till do) before I discovered benefit but I always find their products great so I reluctantly part with that extra money knowing Im going to get something worth it!
The product; packaged in an attractive box it has four shades of blush which are intended (i think) to be swirled together.
The colour; everyones skin will "wear" it slightly differently however on my average skin tone it appears a peachy pink.
The scent; unusual for a blush but it has quite a sweet fruity scent which is a little bonus I wasn't expecting!
The brush; for a freebie its actually quite good! I usually discard the applicators which accompany make up but I quite like this and its stayed firmly in place in the box!
The effect; this product appeared very natural which gave me a "glow" for want of another word! Like all benifit products it looks and feels subtle which is why I love them!
I bought this Blusher a few weeks ago, as I have always used the Benefit make-up brand, and have always been a major fan. I bought Sugarbomb for a reasonable £22.50 from my local Debenhams. Instead of containing the average 1 or 2 colours you find with most blushers, Sugarbomb contains 4. Each section is big enough if you want to apply an individual colour, however, I find if you swish and mix the 4 colours together, you get the best results. The colour isn't too garish and will suit a number of skin colours. It's longlasting and I find that I very rarely have to re-apply when im out all day.
What I have always found with Benefit blushers is that they last for ages! So the £22.50 price tag is pretty much justified. I use the product daily and find its really easy to apply and blend, especially with the mini brush you get included within the box. I would fully reccommend this product to anyone who is thinking of investing in a new blusher!
I was in the market for a treat............. and I got one!
I was fed up and disheartened with so many blushers just crumbling away and wanted something not too garish that would make me look healthy. Stmbling through the local department store this product caught my eye. I don't usually buy Benefit blushers as they seem to be a a little too either wishy washy or too strong in colour for my complexion but this combination is just perfect! The colours individually are big enough if you just want a peach, pink or bronze tone but I love the effect that it gives using a big brush and swishing through all four. I have been told that I look good, healthy, asked if I've used a new bronzer etc and I actually feel confident that I DO look good (and actually alive - not just a zombie with stripey cheeks!) The product doesn't crumble or flake, blends
beautifully and makes me feel a million dollars - well worth the price tag!
