I love all of Benefits product and if I see a new one being released, I have to buy it... Whether I need it or not!! One of the products that I bought was Sunbeam, having already owned and loved Moonbeam, Highbeam and Chachatint and this product looked to be working along the same line so I had to have it.

What does the product do?
Sun Beam is liquid facial highlighter with golden and brown tones. Its purpose is to give definition to the bone structure and to give you a lovely sun kissed complexion and a radiant glow. It is suitable to use on all skin tones and it is described as being 'liquid sunshine in a bottle.'

How do you use the product?
This product can be used along with your make up or used alone as a little pick me up. I usually use the product on top of my primer, foundation and powder as a final touch. I dab the product onto the skin on my cheek bones and then blend the product gently into the cheeks. You need to be careful when you blend the product in that you don't wipe off your other make up as it has a liquid consistency. I would use this alone on bare skin in the summer when I'm on holidays.

Packaging and Price
The product is packaged in the same way as a nail polish. It is contained within a fairly heavy glass bottle which is exactly the same as Moon Beam and High Beam. It looks good on display and you can see the product shimmering gold product inside so you know the exact colour that you are getting. When you twist open the lid, you see that inside the lid is a brush which is again just like a nail polish brush. On the outside of the bottle is the words Sun Beam written in black letters.

The product will cost you around £24 which is the same as all the other 'beams'. You get 13ml of the liquid and even though this is expensive, it will last a very long time so it's all relative. It can be bought from anywhere which has a Benefit stand such as Debenhams or Boots and it is also available from a wide variety of online websites.

Application
The product has a lovely consistency that is thick and creamy and similar to that of a foundation but it is slightly more liquid. This lovely texture means that it won't drip down your cheeks as it is applied which makes it easily to blend into the skin and it gives you plenty of time to work with it before it dries. You only need to use a very small amount of the product in order to get the desired results.

Performance
The product is a lovely highlighter which adds good definition to the bone structure. It gives a lovely shimmery gold radiance to the cheeks that really make you look sun kissed. If you have Moon Beam and High Beam then this product is along the exact same lines as those but it has a golden tint. It is quite shimmery and I wouldn't ever wear this product for work but it is lovely for the evenings, especially when the sun decides to show its face. The colour is an addition to the colour of your skin rather than a colour being added like with a bronzer or blusher.

I have skin that is prone to blemishes and this product has never caused any blemishes or blackheads to form on my face and it has never caused any discomfort or irritations on my skin. The product is long lasting and it doesn't fade off the skin making reapplication unnecessary although you may want to top up if you are moving from day to night. It is easily removed with your usual cleanser. The only negative that I can give this product, other than perhaps the price, is the fact that it does sink into the pores and more them more noticeable so you will need to use a primer first. Porefessional works well for this purpose.

Conclusion
All in all, this is a lovely summery highlighter that adds definition to the face and that will be perfect for sunny days. It is easy to use, has long lasting results and it is a quick way to make yourself sun kissed and radiant. If you like the other 'beams' then the chances are that you will like this one too.
