Advantages: smells amazing, great packaging, gorgeous product
Disadvantages: price
My favourite company again!!
I went into the Benefit counter today, to have a look around and talk to the girls, and see what they had, I had my sister with me and she was a benefit virgin!
The girl who did our make up used a range of products, but for both of us, this was the product that really stuck out in our minds, and believe me, its on that wishlist of mine!
They call it a primer, but like many benefit products, its kinda what you make of it! The cream that comes out of the twist up stick is a gorgeous pinky colour and blends right into your skin. One of my big niggles with my skin is the fact my pores are so big. I really don't like it and often find that even with foundation I look a bit pockmarked. This was like putting polyfilla in those holes! But not in a heavy way, it was more like smoothing them over.
The colour suits all skin tones, the woman who was putting it on us is tanned, my sister has golden skin with reddy tones and mine is milk bottle pale. But it blends right down. Another trick the girl used was to mix it with the base (in this case "You Rebel, Lite") rather than layering it up. This worked really well, and I didn't feel like I had loads of make up on at all.
As well as looking fabulous, That Gal smells gorgeous, at first I thought it was peaches I could smell, but its almost like bubblegum. Really nice, and left my skin feeling special.
So the downside? As ever, with benefit we're not talking cheap. But I have to say that I'm not disappointed, its a treat, thats for sure, but it goes a long way and lasts a while.
As ever, the packaging is cute as a button, someone mentioned it looks like a glue stick, and thats what I see when I look at it! Everything about this brand makes me smile!
Summary: a lovely all rounder!

- 21/08/09 I still don't get what it's actually for. Does it look pink on or like a highlighter, or is it just a colourless makeup primer? |
