Advantages: looks great on, brightens your skin, easy to apply

Disadvantages: expensive

I have 2 mini tubes of Benefit "That Gal" brightening face primer. I got one free with Glamour magazine earlier this year and I got another in a Benefit minis gift set along with a few other miniature versions of Benefit products.

~ Price and availability ~
An 11ml tube of Benefit That Gal primer usually costs you £21.50. It is available from larger Boots stores, most department stores or you can order it online direct from Benefit's website, www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk.

~ Packaging ~
It usually comes in a cylindrical tube, but mine is just a 7.5ml sample size version so mine comes in a small squeezy tube that stands on its lid.
The tubes have a nice design on them with a city skyline against a yellow orange and pink sky.

~ Use ~
Benefit's instructions are, 'Wear alone or under makeup for the look of bright, smooth skin. Blend onto face in an even upward motion. Gently pat on during the day to re-brighten your complexion.'
The primer is a pale pink colour.
I have found a little goes a long way with this primer. It has quite a thin consistency. It is easy to rub in and leaves my skin looking smooth and even. It offers a light coverage and it does brighten your skin, without looking greasy.
I have been really pleased with the results that this primer achieves, providing a good base for your foundation. It also can be worn on its own.
I never leave the house without foundation on, but I would go out with this primer on, but without foundation. Your skin doesn't feel bare and it looks smooth and natural.
It takes away that just-got-out-of-bed-and-look-like-a-bit-of-a-dog look just from a light coverage of this primer.
I imagine if I was reading this review before I'd tried this product I wouldn't be convinced, but if you ever get the chance to try it out you'll know what I mean.

~ Conclusion ~
I think this primer is great both on its own and as a base for your foundation. It looks bright and radiant, but also very natural. It doesn't appear to change the colour of your skin even though the liquid is a pale pink colour.
It is easy to apply and rub in.
I don't currently have the full size version and I think anything over £20.00 for a Benefit product is pushing it, but I would buy the full size version of this as I think it is great.
I would recommend you to try this product if you get the chance.
