I must admit that although it's expensive, I love Benefit make up and find a lot of their range achieves good results so when I went for a 'pick me up' makeover at their counter I was open to suggestions as to what I might buy that day. When the 'benebabe' applied my make up she mixed the POREfessional in with some light foundation and I had to agree it gave a fabulous finish. What is it? The POREfessional is a primer designed to hide flaws and is very versatile as it can be used under or over make up or even mixed in with the foundation! It is very light so it's not like you are trowelling on another layer either. I expected it to be clear but it is ... Read the complete review

I recently ran out of my current primer whilst getting ready for a night out, however my friend kindly came to my aid and let me borrow some of hers which happened to be the Benefit Porefessional Primer and since then I have been obsessed with it! The primer claims to be a silky, lightweight primer that offers a translucent pore coverage and ultra smooth skin. If you suffer from open pores (like most of us) then wave them good riddance and welcome a gorgeous picture perfect complexion instead! I could not wait to get my hands on a bottle of this magic stuff, so I quickly got down to my local Boots and purchased a 22ml bottle for £23.50 - if I ... Read the complete review

When it comes to beauty I love lotions and potions and as testament to this my dressing table is heaving with them, but I also like to keep things simple. For this reason I have never used primers as it just seemed like an unnecessary extra layer of make-up which I would have to apply and an added cost to my already colossal annual make up spend! It was only when I got a tester size of the porefessional free with Glamour magazine that made me trial and test a primer for the first time. The product is designed to minimize pores and fine lines as well as providing a smooth and even base to then apply make-up. I have blemish prone combination skin with large ... You may be able to guess what this Benefit The Porefessional primer is for. Your pores of course! Benefit promise that this is oil-free, lightweight, translucent and silky and is supposed to smooth out the appearance of large and small pores located anywhere on your face. Personally, I don't have an issue with my pores, they are visible on my nose but once I have my make up on they are not very noticeable anyway so I'm not too worried. I went to get a full face make up facial done at the benefit counter, house off fraser, this is because I felt like a change in make up and wondered what products I should use, Benefit offer a few primers but I was told because of my skin . The Porefessional was totally an impulse buy. I'd never considered a primer before and after a consultation at a benefit counter somehow I got talked into this. You can apply this product over or under makeup - personally I apply it all over my face before foundation a to try and create a smooth surface for foundation to cover more easily. The idea of 'The porefessional' is that it will minimise your pores and any fine lines and is completely translucent (even though you don't think it will be when it comes out of the tube) so it will suit absolutely any skin tone. It's an oil free product too and it really does leave your skin feeling so silky smooth! ... Read the complete review
