Theyre real benefit mascara
I like the Benefit make up and was well pleased when I was recently given this mascara as a gift.
This mascara is apparently "beyond belief".it promises to lengthen, curl, volumise, lift and separate lashes so it really is promising to do it all!
On the box it states that trials were conducted on the product and 94% saw dramatic length and volume, 90% saw base-to-tip curl, 94% saw visible lift, 100% saw long-wearing results. I never take things like this as read because I have never been asked to
HOW DOES IT DO ALL OF THIS?
It is advertised as having an exclusive brush which is specially designed to maximize the performance of the formula, and apparently the special bristles will grab the lashes close to the root and because there are smaller bristles then the tiny lashes at the bottom will be defined. Armed with all of these claims Im ready to give it a whirl and see if it really does deliver...
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The mascara comes packaged in a box with all of the information instructions and claims written all around the box. when I get into the box I find that the mascara itself is in a silver quite angular shaped tube with the name of the product on the side
The wand when I unscrew the tube and have a look at it does have small bristles rather than a brush as I have frequently seen on a mascara wand. The bristles themselves are staggered and not all a uniform size and on the domed tip of the wand there are smaller bristles which must be the ones for smaller bottom lashes.
USING THE MASCARA...
The instructions are quite clear when they say that I should position the wand horizontally, which is very specific and something I would do anyway when applying mascara. Once it is in position then it should be wiggled from side to side and from base to tip. This is very different to how I usually read mascara application instructions which usually tell me to brush the wand over lashes but apparently this wiggling movement will achieve maximum volume, length and lift. After the wiggle and to curland separate the wand should be held vertically and stroked upwards.
When I first read the instructions it did seem a tad complex and unnecessary as I was only applying mascara but once I got used to the method it was very easy and did seem to achieve good results.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
The mascara is widely available in large chemists and department stores and costs around the £20 mark so although it's not the cheapest, the results are worth it..
I really like this mascara. Once I got used to the method of using it I find that it really does make my lashes look longer and thicker and the lashes are also nicely separated. If I put it on quite thickly with several layers then it does take some time to remove it completely but this can still be done using my normal eye make up remover; I find a cream one is more effective at removal.
Whilst my lashes don't look false they certainly look thicker and longer and for me the mascara is suitable for day or night use depending on how many layers I apply.
A recommended mascara
