Advantages: It makes your face nice and soft

Disadvantages: Streaky, orangey, difficult to blend. Just felt mucky

I am a great fan of Benefit make-up, and some would question if I can be truly objective when rating their products, but 'You Rebel' is proof of my reliability here!

'You Rebel', it is claimed, will blend to suit any skin tone and still give good coverage- a tall order, but one which I was more than willing to test. With their high standard of product, I thought I was on pretty safe ground trying another of my favourite cosmetic company's offerings. I had high hopes for 'You Rebel', hoping that with the Summer months to come I could depend upon good coverage, a light feeling tinted moisturiser, and SPF 15. However, in my case, 'You Rebel' just didn't deliver.

I'm one of those girls who doesn't like 'caked on' make-up, but isn't blessed with the option of regularly going barefaced.I feel too naked I guess, as some days I get the odd patch of eczema. I have a good complexion most days, but I just prefer being a bit 'made-up', given the choice. 'You Rebel' offered me the opportunity to try a lighter coverage during the Summertime, but it let me down in several ways:

1)It blended really badly for me. I am pale faced and usually have to go for the 'Ivory' or 'Porcelain' foundation tone options, so imagine my concern when I found 'You Rebel' to be a orangey, muddy colour. On application it made my face feel and look dirty and streaky.

2)My face did feel moisturised and soft, I will say that, but I couldn't get over the mucky sensation and the thought that I looked odd. I didnt feel comfortable with this make up on.

3)I love Benefit, but this product just doesn't suit everyone, and is a bit of a gamble pricewise at £19.50 for a tube. It may look and perform better on tanned or darker skins, but I guess my pale skin just had to rebel, excuse the punn!

Summary: On pale skins it is a bit risky, you could have a dreaded tide mark
