Tis the season to be ... well, cold and chapped, if you're a pair of lips. Under the influence of wind, weather, and freezing rain, your luscious pout can disintegrate into a cracked, sore mess - and yes, I'm talking to the guys as well as the gals here!

Fortunately, help is at hand in the form of Blistex lip relief cream. This little tube contains a penetrating moisturiser (complete with SPF 10 sunscreen) which will leave your lips feeling smooth and silky even in the depths of snowy January. Just apply a very small amount at regular intervals over the day, and even blistered cracked lips will soon soften! Do be aware that this is a medicated product, however, not just a petroleum jelly chapstick, and always read the label before you apply.

My only complaint here is the packaging - the tube tends to get swished in my highly disorganized handbag, so that when I take the top off, enough cream to salve the kissers of an entire army comes shooting out. It would be better if they could produce it in a small pot, or find a way to solidify it into a chapstick, though I suspect that part of the rationale for not doing so is that many men are embarrassed to be seen applying something that looks like a lipstick!

At around £2 for 5g, it's not going to bankrupt you. So there are no excuses for having unkissable lips this winter!
