Blistex Relief Cream
---------- Introduction ----------
Now that it's winter again, and the colder weather has certainly started to kick in, it's that time of the year when my lips start to get sore. Normally when this happens, I just rub on a bit of Vaseline and that seems to do the trick. But this year my lips were in worse condition then I've ever seen them. Although normally they get sore, my lips were cracked to the point that they even started to bleed. I immediately started hunting round the house to try and find some lip product stronger and more effective then Vaseline, and I came across Blistex relief cream in the back of my cupboard.
---------- About Blistex Relief Cream ----------
Blistex relief cream is a cream that is used to help cure cracked, chapped, and sore lips. It can also be used on cold sores. You just apply the cream whenever you feel like your lips need a bit of extra care.
---------- Packaging ----------
The cream comes in a small white tube with a red lid. To use the cream you simply unscrew the red lid which reveals a small hole where the cream comes out. To get the cream to come out you just gently squeeze the tube. One thing I have found with the packaging is that when you unscrew the lid the cream comes out before you've even squeezed the tube. And sometimes it can come out too fast and you end up wasting the product. I still don't know why the cream comes out before you've even squeezed it, but it does, and it can be very annoying. On the tube it tells you basic information such as directions for use, and ingredients.
---------- Using the Cream ----------
The cream itself is whitish, and it has a weird smell, it kind of smells like that stuff you use to unblock your nose, but it also smells a bit like mint as well, I must say that I actually like the smell! To use the cream I just squeezed a small amount onto my finger, and then rubbed the cream onto my lips. When applying the cream, you kind of get a tingling sensation, it's not unpleasant though, it's actually quite nice!
---------- Result ----------
I can honestly say, as soon as I had applied the cream, I had already noticed an improvement! After a few days of use, my lips have definitely made a huge improvement. They are less chapped and cracked, and although they are still a bit sore, they are definitely on the mend. I am very happy with the results of Blistex, and will definitely continue to use it.
---------- Price and Availability ----------
As I said earlier in the review, I just found Blistex relief cream in one of my cupboards, but I looked it up and you can buy the cream from different places, one of them being Boots at the price of £2.85. I find this price to be reasonable seeing as the cream helped my lips a lot.
Summary: Would recommend to anyone with cracked, chapped and sore lips.
