“ Brand: Blistex „
I am not one to complain about any original blistex. Blistex is the best product out there for lips. For my lips I used every chapped every but nothing I mean nothing will every come close to Blistex product. But I am only here to talk about Blistex Silk Shine. Well I tried this product about a three months ago. I live in NY and the cold weather hit really hard around November. So when the cold weather come I usually get really bad chapped lips. So I go to my local Walgreen and get Blistex Lip Protectant Rasberry Lemonade Blast sp15 for my chapped lip . But they were out this time and I did notice that they had Silk and Shine By Blistex. I hesitated at first on getting it because it said silk and shine. I don't know why but I hate gloss and like shiny thing on my lip. But I need something for my lips so I had to get it because the others that wer there sucked. First I would like to say it's called silk and shine but it not greasy if you know what I mean. I tend to relate silk and shine with grease like oily or like sticky. But that is not what I got. It was perfect it went on smooth and glided on with ease I was so shock but pleased. It also last and long time on your lips. I work for nine hours and never had to reapply until I got off work and even then I don't think I need it I just wanted to pick some on. I compare this product to like a balm /moisturize lip treatment feeling. It's feel real soft and not that extreme glossy like look. It's a great lip treatment and you can't beat the price.
My lips seem to be dry constantly. A couple of years ago I was obsessed with vaseline to keep them moist, but I soon realised that the grease (this is yucky!) seemed to slide off my lips onto my chin and create more spots! One of my friends had Blistex so I gave it a go and have never looked back since. I normally buy a different strain of the brand, but I saw this in the pound shop for £1 and at that price it was worth giving it a try. I think it normally retails at around £2.
Blistex silk and shine comes in a silver coloured tube. It has a pump top lid which you press to get a small amount of the product out. Please trust me you only need a tiny bit to do a good job, and therefore this product goes far. It is excellent value for money. The cream itself is clear and quite shimmery. It is more of a lip gloss texture than lip cream texture. I was worried this would mean as soon as the wind blew my hair would be stuck to my lips, but it wasn't like that, because it soaked into my skin quite quickly. It didn't leave a layer on top as such, like lip glosses do. This also meant it didn't make my lips as shiney as lip gloss does, but in all honesty I was looking for something which improves the condition of my lips rather than just covers up the condition and makes them look good.
My lips stayed in good condition for around half a day to a day afterwards to reapplication was not necessary too often, although it depends on the weather and if any other products have been used which compromise the condition of your lips.
I really liked this product. It has absolutely no faults, it's just a really effective product at a low price. Therefore it wins five stars and a genuine recommendation from me.
I first used this product YEARS ago.. Blistex never seems to fail..
This product can be found in really any chemist, though recently I havn't seen it about as much.. The price of this is usually around £2, it's a bargin, this product will last you months!
Blistex Silk and Shine promises 'Sattiny Smooth Lips & A Light Glossy Finish'.. It keeps that promise.. The product is in a little silver sleek tube, the lid is easily taken off and clicked back on, to use it you just twist a little bit at the bottom and it pushes the product up, a small twist every so often will definitely be enough.. This way you can be in control of the amount pushed out.. It's quite an old-style way but nice..
The product just glides over your lips so easily leaving them really supple and with a gorgeous shine off them.. This is perfect for wearing any time, anywhere, it's great for work because it doesn't look as made up as a lip gloss but has the same amazing finish.. It doesn't dry your lips out, but keeps them smooth for hours, reapplyiny as much as you need and it doesn't make your lips feel heavy at all.. Your lips feel really moisturised also..
I would definitely reccommend this product, it's so easily carried around and doesn exactly what it says, with no downsides!
