“ Brand: Blistex / Type: Lipbalms „
I am a huge fan of Blistex products, they are in expensive and always, in my opinion, work very well.
In summer I suffer with dry skin on my lips and end up chewing off any moisture rich lipstick and making the situation worse. I found the Blistex Tint and Shine (blush) product in my local boots but it is available in most pharmacies on the high street. It cost just under £2 and comes in a no nonsense card packaging that is easily removeable.
The tube is the standard lip balm 4g variety and this product has the added benefit of being SPF 15 - now I am no longer 18 I am realising the importance of these few letters and numbers!
The application of the balm is great, it glides on without going too fluid, sticky and thick on your lips. It sinks in very quickly and leaves you lips feeling really soft, moisturised and slightly tingly - in a pleasant way! The tint element is a very soft and subtle natural rose colour and would suit most skin types. I have started using it as my top up instead of lipstick during the day as it really does moisturise for a long time, is durable and gives you that plump "just kissed" look. With some lip balms you have to endure a lingering floral or sicklly aftertaste and scents but not with this, there is a very short initial flavour but this rapidly goes as does the slightly cocoa butter smell.
A super low cost product that I will be reinvesting in and recommending to all my friends!
I generally use vaseline to stop my lips from getting dry or chapped, but I decided to buy this product as I wanted something with more colour. The product comes in a small, slightly sparkly pink tube with a lid that pushes on nice and securely, meaning that it never falls off in your bag. The compact size of the product makes it easy to slip into a pocket, and it is much more convenient than a tin of vaseline.
The lipbalm itself is a fairly dark pink colour, but when put on it adds a nice subtle tint to your lips. It moisturises quite well, although I still use vaseline when my lips are especially dry. The scent of the product is the biggest downfall for me - it is very strong and too sweet in my opinion. This is a shame, as otherwise the product is great, particularly the colour which looks nice without being too bright or glossy.
I am sure that this product will be perfect for lots of people, it really depends on personal taste, and I would reccomend it to a friend, although I probably will not buy it again due to the taste.
Blistex Tint & Shine retails for circa £2 in most high street toiletries/cosmetics shops (but look out for it on special offer too). It is only available in one size and weighs about 4g.
Tube is contained with cardboard packaging. Cardboard packaing is attractive and is pink and white. The tube itself is a dusky pink colour with red writing. Product is dispensed through rolling up the tube from the bottom (much like a lipstick).
Very easy to apply and does not clag or go clumpy on lips. One tube lasts approximately 4 months with multiple daily applications and so is quite good value for money.
Give a very natural, reddish appearance to lips, without having to apply too much. I often wear this instead of lipstick as it provides colour and moisture in one. The product also has SPF15 which is an added benefit.
Nice and moisturising, does not just "sit" on top of chapped lips like some products seem to do but actually seems to penetrate. The product does not have any smell and is quite mild. With some products I have had a tingling sensation on application but not with this one.
This is my favorite lip balm. My lips get chapped really easily so i always carry this around with me. I buy this for around £3 in Boots, which i think is very good value as i use it everyday and it always last around 2-3 months.
It contains spf 15 which is great for summer. Like all Blistex products, it conditions the lips very well and cures dryness or chapped areas. I also tastes nice and applies evenly and looks very natural.
What i especially love about this product is the colour. I need to wear a lip balm to keep my lips good condition but also like to wear a lip colour in the day when i put on my make-up. This is the perfect solution, it provides conditioning but also gives a rich and healthy colour. The colour matches my lips really well so looks natural, also its not too pigmented like lipstick so i can apply it on the go without a mirror and not worry about smudges as it will blend in evenly.
I cannot fault this product, for the price it is amazing. Only slight downfall is that to keep the richness of colour it needs to be applied every hour or so through out the day.
Blistex Tine & Shine is one of it's kind. It's both a lip balm stick AND a subtle lipstick. This is my all time favourite lip accessory even thought it's quite pricey at around £2.30 at Boots it's well worth it and here's why. I personally don't like the lip balm makes such as Nivea who make the lip glosses to combine nourishment with colour. I don't like my lips being gloopy and sticky. Tint & Shine offers the perfect solution and provides a great subtle (but can be more if you keep applying) colour with normaly levels of skincare and nourishment of Blistex (which is great for dry/chapped lips in winter) without it being lip glossy. I love this one so much I buy then two at a time so I can have one in each of my handbags. The colour is a nice reddy brown which can look really natural and people have asked if that's my normal lip colour before - little do they know ! It's also great for blending with lipstick for a more natural tint or stain look rather than block colour. I guess a downside is the price but, like I said, there is nothing else out there like so it wins the competition!
Blistex Tint & Shine was the perfect solution to the problem I was facing. I wanted a lip balm which not only did it's purpose, but also gave a slight tint to my lips. I was tired of using lip balms which just prevents dry lips. Most often I forget my lip balms at home and has to buy one on the way ! So, I do have a collection of lip balms at home. Out of them all, I found Blistex Tint & Shine to be very effective.
I usually wear it underneath my lipstick. The amazing part of Blistex Tint & Shine is that it is very effective for chapped and dry lips. When it is worn on its own, it gives the lips a rosy colour. All the usual lip balms, just gives the protective effect; and some even looks like you have splattered wax on your lips. Blistex gives the lips a fresh look, a tint and also effective for chapped lips.
The only problem with this is that I found this lip balm to be costly than the other ones.. But, it sure does it trick for the money. This was recommended to me by a friend. I just love it...
