Advantages: Lovely Packaging, Lovely Range Of Colours, Good Texture

Disadvantages: Not Widely Available, Sometimes Leaks Out

Well this little girl has a bit of a problem. Well if you really want to know, I am obsessed with lip-gloss and I mean proper obsessed. If a lip-gloss is available I simply have to have it. I’ve tried many different types and brands. Even if I find a perfect lip-gloss I just continue to move on and try out more. Sad, some might say. I’ve tried caboodles, hard candy, urban decay, benefit, Clinique, Ruby and Millie and now its time to try out bloom.

To be honest I had never even heard of bloom before I bought this product. I decided to do one thing I love and that’s go shopping. I couldn’t find the perfect lip-gloss so it was time to come home and surf the net to try and find the perfect lip-gloss!

As I surfed I stumbled onto a little site called www.eyebeauty.com. This site was so me, it was pink and sparkly and had loads of cute little pictures plastered all over the place. Anyway as I searched I found a list of products by a company called Bloom. The products looked really cute and totally luscious but then yes right then I found some lip-gloss! Actually no it’s called lip glaze but hey it’s the same stuff! The site had a lot of variety of make up that stars like Victoria Beckham, Drew Barrymore, Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz wore. They had a lot of names but I was very attracted to Bloom, which looked like a really girly brand.

There were loads of shades to choose from, I was torn, was I going to go for my signature colour baby pink or would I go for my favourite lipstick colour chocolate brown. How could I do it! I went for the chocolate brown in the end! Sorry pink!

Anyway it was time to skank my brother’s credit card and order away! I ended up ordering loads of other products but that’s another story! I simply couldn’t wait for my new lip glaze to arrive; I needed my lovely lip glaze! Like now!

BLOOM*~

I had never heard of the company bloom before
but they looked like a very decent company. Bloom is based in Australia and makes all sorts of beauty products from eyeliner to hair care products. They aren’t very popular in this country but I have spotted their products in stores like House of Fraser. Their product range is just brilliant, they have so many cute products you just can’t help but buy. This is such a nightmare for me, as I want it all! A good site that sells Bloom products is www.sephora.com I think because they have loads of stuff so if you’re interested go and have a look!

DIFFERENT SHADES OF LIP GLAZE*~

Now these are the luscious shades available in Bloom lip glaze. Quite a variety to be honest! If you can’t really tell what the colours will be like go and take a look on this site http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P71 15&shouldPaginate=true it’s got the entire colour range and shows you what it looks like pretty handy eh?

Glam – Glam is a colour which is just described by its name. It is very glam; the colour is a dark red and maroon colour which looks lovely when it’s applied because it has quite a dark shine to it which makes it even more noticeable. I like this colour because it’s one of the more noticeable one’s. Also the glitter particles in this colour look lovely because of the dark colour of the actual gloss.

Gleam – Gleam looks like a yellow colour mixed with orange when its in the container but once it has been applied it looks more like a clear colour with a slight yellow sheen to it which looks really summery. The colour is nice but not something that suits my skin tone, but I think it’s more of a summer colour.

Glisten – This is a slightly similar colour to gleam but is it much more orange based. It’s still a light colour when darker orange glitter particles in it which makes it much more not
iceable. The colour looks dark but is quite light when applied with the dark orange glitter particles shining which does have a nice effect.

Glitz – This is very similar to glisten but just slightly darker, making it more noticeable. Personally I prefer this colour to glisten as it is darker and more noticeable rather than a simple orange colour; the glitter particles in this also look really sparkly and suit the colour itself.

Glimmer – This colour is a take on glitz but slightly darker. Rather than being orange based it is more brown based which suits the orange glitter particles in the actual glaze. The colour itself is much more sparkly than the other colours and since it has a dark shade of glaze it is much more noticeable.

Glow – Glow is one of the simplest colours in the whole range because it is transparent. There is no colour to this glaze but it’s very useful to have to use over other lipsticks and such so this is still recommend, it isn’t as boring as you’d think as it is still quite sparkly.

Lavish – This colour is a lovely dark pink mixed with plenty of sparkly glitter particles. The colour is quite similar to glam but not as dramatic as it is more pink based rather than a bright red. The colour is one of my favourites as it is fun and glamorous but still quite simple.

Luminous – This colour is a mix of light pink and a soft orange colour. It’s not one of my favourites because the colour is a bit too bright for me, the colour isn’t wild it just doesn’t suit me which is why I don’t like it too much. Matched with the right skin tone this glaze could look lovely.

Luscious – This is a pink which isn’t light or dark. It’s in between. It’s a sweet colour as pink is my favourite colour and it looks good enough to eat. When it’s applied to the lips it gives a lovely pink shimmer which looks really glamo
rous but not too over the top, I am a fan of this colour because of the lovely pink tint it has.

Lustful – This colour isn’t one of my favourite due to its brightness. I stay away from wearing the colour red on my lips so this colour was a bit of a no, no for me as it’s a mixture of pink and a darker shade of red. It looks nice in the packaging but when it applied it looks a bit strange.

Lustrous – This colour seems to be a mix of orange, brown and pink. The colours all equal a shade of pink and brown which is nicer than you’d think. The colour seems quite wild and dark in the packaging but when it’s applied it’s much lighter than you’d expect and looks like a soft pink.

Loveable – This is such a sweet and lovely colour. It reminds me of well sweets. It’s a really light and innocent colour which is quite reminiscent of candy floss. The glitter particles in it are of a shade slightly darker which goes well with the light colour. I really like this colour because it’s so natural and simple but still quite glam.

THE LIP GLAZE*~

The lip-glaze is really sparkly and adds a really nice glimmer to your lips. I guess that’s why it’s called lip glaze then! The texture of the gloss is quite thick but this makes it much easier to apply. You can just run the tube over your lips or put it on your finger and rub over your lips. Both ways are good but I recommend using your fingers or a lip brush as when you glide the tube over your lips it doesn’t really cover your lips that well so you end up using quite a lot more.

You might think the tube is far too small and will finish in a day but trust me it lasts for ages; you only use a bit of the product so it really does last for ages! I always only use a tiny bit because it does give you really shiny lips, which is pretty useful!

I recommend you use the product on its own or you use i
t my way. Firstly I exfoliate my lips with an old toothbrush, and then I apply a lip balm to soften my lips. I then apply any old lipstick to my lips and finish off with a once over of Bloom lip glaze! It’s perfect; your lips will look totally luscious!

The colour I have which is my favourite is Glimmer is a really nice shade; it can be worn for a natural look or over lipstick for a totally glamorous look. When I’m casual I totally prefer the natural look so I’ll wear the stuff on its own but when I’m going out I put on a really dark lipstick and add the glaze over for beautiful luscious lips.

THE SMELL*~

Most lip glosses that I own smell of something delicious. Now this lip-gloss is no different. It smells like orange chocolate smarties to be exact. It’s a complete mission trying not to lick it off! Very addictive! This is one of the main reasons I bought the lip-gloss again. Even when it’s on your lips you can still smell the delicious chocolate scent. Yummy! It’s got mandarin and Vanilla in it, which is really lush! I just adore the scent. Even if you don’t like the glaze itself the scent of it is very impressing.

THE PACKAGING*~

Now packaging is number one to me. If a product is totally crap but has totally beautiful packaging there you go I have to have it. Luckily though bloom lip glaze is a very good product so I don’t have to suffer with crap to show off my dinky little lip glaze packaging!

The packaging for the lip-gloss is so cute! The actual lip-gloss comes in an easy to apply tube, which is adorable. It may look tiny but trust me it lasts for absolutely ages! The tube is small and is tinted brown. It has the bloom logo on it which is a face of a women wearing the lip-gloss which I have to say is very cute! The box the tube comes in is also really cute. It’s a light brown and really girly. It has information about the product on the box
and I have to say it’s a really classy little box. All the different shades of lip glaze come in a different coloured box, which is really cute too.

THE PRICE*~

Price isn’t really a big deal to me. Actually it never used to be! I am broke now but I used to be able to buy benefit products without my bank balance suffering too much!
Now it’s all about skanking the parental’s! Well for little old me anyway.

This lip glaze cost me £5.95 which some might say is quite expensive but when you’ve tried the product you forget about the price. It really is good value for money. I mean at first I was like there is no way in hell I’m paying that much for another lip gloss/glaze but then I thought well it isn’t my money I might as well!

Some places sell it slighter cheaper as I have noticed so you can have a look around the net or some large department stores. I know one thing that sephora.com sells it for $12 have no idea whether that’s cheaper or not!

ADVANTAGES*~

Advantages for this product are that this gloss makes your lips shine really nicely and make them sparkle which is definitely a good thing for me! I just love the way it shimmers, it really looks like it’s got individual sparkles in it which shine like the stars, Yay for me! Even through the tube you can see the way the colour and shade is and see how sparkly it is.

Also the smell of the product gives them mega points in my book! The gloss smells absolutely gorgeous and when it’s applied to your lips it smells really lovely. Oh that is just lush, can you imagine walking down the street and smelling the lush glaze!

I like the tube as it is a convenient
little thing. It fits into your handbag; actually it could even fit into your pocket. I do carry it around with me whenever I need a touch up.

Also one great thing about this product is that it isn’t mega sticky. Thankfully it is just smooth. Thank god my hair won’t be sticking to my lips then.

DISADVANTAGES*~

I have to say a major disadvantage for this product is that it is not widely available like many other make up products. It’s quite hard to find but I think bloom products are available on many beauty websites. Also the price for the gloss is quite steep but I think it is really worth it because overall the product was just fantastic, I just stopped caring about how much it cost me.

One problem I had with this product was that when I put the lid on top loads of the lip glaze would come out anyway and stick to the lid, which equaled loads of wasted lip glaze. Oh what a nightmare!

I also don’t like that fact that the glaze doesn’t stay on that long. If I use it with a lipstick it usually stays for ages but if I use it on its own it doesn’t really last that long. Although I have to admit it lasts long enough for me not to complain…urm what am I doing now?!

OVERALL*~

Overall I think this lip gloss/glaze is fantastic. It makes you lips glossy and it also makes your lips feel really nice too. Also the smell is really nice. Even though this gloss isn’t that cheap it is still really worth it as it does not run out to quickly. I know when I first bought it I was like ‘is that it?!’ but seriously it does last for ages; you really do need to try it for yourself! Girls if you’re looking for a really decent lip-gloss/glaze I recommend this as its just superb, go on treat yourself! Seriously this product will give you kissably sweet lips! Now that’s useful!

Adorebeauty.com, an Australian company online, sell the whole Bloom range, some of it is half the price over there as Bloom comes from OZ. The Lipglaze reviewed here is just over 3 quid! Shipping is cheap too.

This sounds soooo gorgeous although I can't really justify buying yet more lip gloss!
