quite a good lipstick, not sure I would pay full price though

About 4 months ago in Superdrug, everything in the Bloom section of the make-up department was being sold for insanely cheap prices. I instantly jumped to browse the lipsticks as I really needed one for an upcoming night out and Bloom just happened to have the exact plum shade needed!

The 'moisture rich' lipsticks range has 17 colours is all of the usual shades. Plum, nude, pink, red, etc. At my local, there was only 2 of these shades however - swing and nude. (visit the website for the exact shades, etc). Admittedly, there is a few colours I really want to try out but for now I am quite happy! I purchased Swing, which as mentioned is deep plum and slightly gothic - but on trend for Autumn/Winter none the less. The actual stick looks almost black, but once on my lips it was slightly translucent which meant that I could happily wear it without it being too thick.

According to the Bloom website, these lipsticks cost 28 Australian dollars each (which translates into being £18.68 for us - but as I managed to pick mine up for 99p I am quite chuffed with that! I don't think I would pay the £18.68 that the website is asking, but definitely if it was a bit cheaper I would go for it!

The lipstick comes in a little box which is a light pink. It has the name of the shade on the top and the brand logo and name on the front. On the back is the size and ingredients etc.
The actual lipstick is silver, the brand name and logo printed on the front with a shiny twist stick (Really not technical with names here!) to reveal an average sized stick of lipstick. Its all quite simple but I like that because sometimes simple is best when it comes to lip products.

I really like this lipstick, its such a gorgeous shade! I wouldn't agree that it is a 'moisturising' like the name states but it is definitely a nice colour. The pigmentation is not too strong, but enough to give lips a good coverage and my lips looked and felt quite smooth and glossy! It lasts well through the day, however re-application needed when you eat or drink!

I was enticed into buying something from Bloom at Changeslive.com because they were having a promotion whereby I could get a free mousemate with every £15 or over purchase from Bloom. I decided to try their lipstick. Bloom lipstick is vanilla flavoured and is contained in a slimline modern silver casing. Normally, one would expect a slimline lipstick to be long-lasting and therefore very drying. But this isn't so at all. It is packed with castor oil, Vitamin E and wheatgerm glycerides and therefore glides easily onto the lips without it feeling tight and dry. The colour that I bought was called Pout. The shade is actually quite similar to Clinique's Blushing Nude soft shine lipstick which is a brownish berry shade and therefore, it suits any skin colourings. By comparison, the Clinique lipstick would be a more economical choice because it is cheaper and there's more of it. But if like me, you are the kind who likes to try out new cosmetics products, then let me let you in on a secret. Changeslive.com gives out £5 vouchers if you first register with them. If you had already registered with them, fret not! Just register again under a different e-mail address and you will get another £5 voucher as the computer doesn't associate e-mail addresses with your house address so, they won't know it's you again! Right now, if you buy something from changeslive.com, you will also get a free Molton Brown shower gel (for any purchase) and a free Bloom eyelash curler (for Bloom purchases exceeding £15). So, it's quite worth it buying your Bloom cosmetics at changeslive.com than elsewhere right now.
