Advantages: Long lasting, Good Colour
Disadvantages: None For Me
Here I am again with another Bobbi Brown review!.
I am still working my way through my new Bobbi Brown collection and in the name of research I am playing with my new toys a lot, sorry I mean I am experimenting with the collection in order to provide a usual and informative review.
====== The Product =====
Bobbi Brown blushers are one of her most popular lines and this is one of the first products that I tried.
Her blushers are packaged in the usual style of the black casing with the clear top to show you the product inside.
As is the case with all of the range the colours are all designed to show and enhance your best features and create a look that's you only better.
The blusher itself has a very soft touch to it and almost feels like velvet as the powder is so fine and compacted heavily which means you get the true colour of the product and not a diluted colour which can happen with cheaper brands.
The blusher is matte and which allows a natural look and makes the product longer lasting.
===== Ways To Apply =====
You can apply the blusher in many different ways to create different looks. However you apply it always brush upwards to apply the blusher and the smooth the brush back down as this softens the look and smooths any fine hairs.
Daytime -
To create a fresh day time look, sweep your brush around the product and tap off any excess on the back of your hand as this will stop you applying too much. smile into a mirror and apply just on the apples of your cheeks (the plumpest part) you can also apply a little on the end of your nose and chin and this gives you a fresh look as though you have been out for a bracing walk.
For a more dramatic look -
Suck in your cheeks and apply the blusher in a C shape starting from just under the hallow part and blend it up into the hairline and again bring the brush down to soften the look
======Lasting power =====
Due to the quality and density of the blusher I found that it lasted all day and well into the night and I had only reapplied once in the evening just to freshen it up a little.
====== Conclusion ======
If you are going to purchase a new blusher than I think that Bobbi Brown is hard to beat.
You get true colour that lasts as long as you need it to. the blusher gives you a flattering soft look as with all her products they are based on natural base colours with a tint added so they are flattering to every skin colour.
Although it is an expensive initial outlay I use the blusher most days and the compact looks as though it's hardly been touched so you will get value for your money.
====== Cost And Availability =====
Bobbi Brown products can Ber purchased in most large department stores and also online at www.bobibrown.co.uk
The compact costs £16.00 for 13oz
Summary: A Fabulous Blush
