I am a real lipstick junkie and am always on the look out and trying new brands and shades. However I find myself regularly coming back to Bobbi Brown Lip Colour.
The world renowned American Make Up Artist, Bobbi Brown started her brand originally by producing 10 brown based lipsticks to match a woman's natural lip colour and that could be mixed and blended to provide an infinite number of colour options. Since then her brand has grown dramatically into an international phenomenon with a wide variety of make up and tools for all occasions.
The standard lipstick in the Bobbi Brown range is the Lip Colour and is a creamy semi matte lipstick which has vitamins incorporated into its formula to nourish and protect your lips. The lip colour is available in 38 shades and varies from Nude to Chocolate or from Cabo Coral to Uber Beige, with new colours being added at least twice a year in Spring and Autumn. Also watch out for limited editions which are released throughout the year, although the only thing is if you love them and then they are not available as they were limited it can be a bit of a problem but sometimes they make it into the main colour range if they have done particularly well.
I love the colours available in this range there really is something for everyone and they are great to be used either on their own or mixed with other shades. It is well worth getting the assistants on the counter to recommend some shades for you and to try them out as you really get to see the full effect and can make a more informed decision. Some of my favourites include Cocoa Berry, Brownie Pink, Slopes and Nude.
The lipstick is easy to apply and comes in a black squarish case, the actual lipstick is creamy on application and it feels like it moisturizes your lips when it is on, I find that the lipstick is long lasting and hard wearing which is a must for any lipstick of mine. I hate it when your lipstick disappears almost as you leave the house.
The Lip Colour comes in at £15.50 and is available from Bobbi Brown counters at most major department stores as well as their website. While it is not the cheapest I find it last for ages and is of great quality. One tip I would say is that when it is pretty much finished so that you can't apply it directly from the tube to your lips use a lip brush and you will find that it lasts even longer.
