Advantages: Nice novelty item, tin could be handy for storing bits in

Disadvantages: not particuarly fond of taste or smell, look cheap

For Christmas my mum gave me and my boyfriend quite a few cocacola themed gifts...i have no idea why but we now have salt and pepper shakers, drink mats and lip balms all coca cola themed. No idea where they got this- is there some cola shop I dont know about?! Never the less I was intrigued by these lip balms (having never heard of them before) and thought I'd give them a review.

These lip balms are of the lipsmacker brand which I haven't actually heard of before, apparantly they have quite a large collection.
The balms i recieved were in a coca cola tin, this tin would probably be handy for storing any lip balms/lip glosses or even small bits of jewellry (Im quite the tin/box hoarder you see). The balms in my tin were:
* Coca cola (original)
* Coca cola cherry
* Coca cola vanilla

The tubes are small so easy to pop in your handbag. I wasnt extremly impressed by the packaging though, the labels on them look quite shiny, tacky and cheap.
Smell wise I'd have to say
Coca cola: Smells like flat coke
Coca cola cherry: I dont actually drink this but according to my boyfriend the smell is spot on.
Coca cola vanilla: I cant remember this drink very well, the last time I had it must be verging on 10 years ago as they dont sell it in the UK anymore from what I've seen- apart from the American food shops. The smell of this reminds me of cheap coke bottle sweets.

Taste:
When licking my lips with this on I dont think the taste of any of them is particuarly strong. They all taste the same- a kind of light sugary taste.
I think this is good. You dont want a delicious balm that leaves you wanting to constantly lick the taste off and then having to apply more. You also dont want a disgusting tasting balm that leaves you in fear should your tongue (or someone elses lips) cross path with your lips.

Feel:
I personally like lipbalms you forget about putting on- the light and discreet kind. This feels a little greasy on my lips. It makes me want to lick them! I also found it left my lips feeling slightly tingly- this may be because they're a little chapped at the moment.

Does it do the job?
In a word. Yes. My lips do feel moister and softer within minutes of applying. Its just whether I can withstan the determination not to lick them laying on how effective these little tubes shall be!

Price:
The 3 piece set I got will set you back £7.25 or you can buy a tube singulary for £2.55 if you go via the official website- http://www.lipsmackers.co.uk/

They're a nice novelty item but I'll stick to their drinks rather than their balms I think. I may continue to use these as theyre handy to pop in my bag but I wont be buying any when they run out.

Summary: I wouldn't buy them myself!
