Advantages: cheap, stays on ages
Disadvantages: have to be careful not to use too much
I bought this blusher recently and have been really impressed with it, so thought I would share my experiences!
~**~Packaging~**~
The blusher comes in a round, charcoal grey coloured pot, and the blusher itself is in pressed powder form. The screw top lid has a clear window, so you can see the powder through it, and has ‘17’ and ‘blush powder’ written on it in silver letters. The pot itself is quite large and I think that it’s a good thing that the powder is pressed into a round shape, as I hate those annoying blushers that have a rectangular strip of blush, as they always make loads of mess when you sweep the brush across them. There is no brush included with this blusher, but I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing because those little brushes you get with blushers always tend to be really small and make the blusher look streaky when applied.
~**~Using it~**~
When you sweep a blusher brush across the powder, the powder picks up onto the brush easily, so you have to be careful not to be too vigorous, as you will end up with far too much powder on your brush. The other slight grumble I do have with this product, is that it can take a bit of blending in – the first time I used it I ended up with two circles of pink on my cheeks and looked like a painted doll!
It feels quite silky when applied to the skin and feels extremely light – so light you can’t feel you’re wearing it, unlike some of the cream blushers, which tend to be quite heavy on the skin. I found the colour looked really natural and it lasts for hours, in fact since I started using it, I have not had an occasion where it has worn off on its own, I have always had to wash it off.
~**~Price and other info~**~
This cost £2.79 from Boots, which I think is a bargain. You can also buy it from www.boots.com
There are seven shades in the range, and I bought Nude, which as you may guess from the name, is a fairly natural pink colour. The powder is dermatologically tested and frangrance free.
Thoroughly recommended for it’s low price, natural look and incredible staying power.
Summary: natural looking blusher
