17 Blush Powder
Advantages: Easy to apply, Only need to use a little of product, Cheaper than other brands
Being a fan of the 17 range from boots and looking for new blusher, I decided to give their blusher range a go. I wanted something that would give me a subtle glow and nothing that would make my cheeks look to pink and end up looking like a clown.
The blush powder comes in 5 different shades, the colours range from a very light pink to a much darker pink colour. The powders come in a black plastic pot which has a clear plastic lid, which simply screws on and off. This cost me £3.69 from Boots. Normally when you go into the store there are testers so you can see which colour is suitable for you. I am quite pale, so I went for a lighter shade rather than a darker one. The one I went for is called Damson Wine. The pots of blush are very small and compact so they fit into a bag or make up bag very easily, which is handy when on the move.
Before applying the product I ran my finger lightly across the surface of the blush to see how the colour looked and to see how easily the colour would apply to my cheeks. The blusher felt really smooth and silky.
Using a medium sized brush I rang it across the top of the blush powder and then blew off any access powder which may fall down onto the rest of my face when applying the product. I gently swept the brush across one cheek and then the other. I then waited for a few seconds to see how it looked. I was quite surprised that this one sweep gave me some lovely colour into my cheeks. There was no need to do a second sweep of colour as this would have been too dark. The blusher seemed to apply very easily and felt smooth and looked flawless against my skin. The blusher is very silky so glides on easily and looks very natural.
I applied the blusher late morning and this lasted all day, until it was time to take it off. No time at all did the blusher fade, smudge or wear off, even though I re-applied some loose powder over the top. The colour stayed the same and I had a lovely subtle colour in my cheeks all night. The blusher comes off very easily with a facial wipe. There is no need to scrub or rub hard to get this off of your cheeks. I was really pleased at how long-lasting this was and even though it could fit into my bag quite easily, there's no need as I didn't need to re-apply it at all.
This blusher applies to the skin very easily to give a natural colour/glow to the cheeks. A little bit of this product goes a long way, so there is no need to apply to much and this means that the blusher will last for ages as well. I think the blusher is really good value and is good quality. It gives the desired look I want and it isn't as expensive as other brands available to buy in boots. I will continue to use this blusher and hope they don't discontinue this specific shade of blusher. I would highly recommend this product to others.
