On yet another trip to Boots just before Christmas I found myself looking for make up for the New Year. I was going out New Years Eve and wanted all new cosmetics to go with all the new clothes I'd purchased for the big night lol. I usually purchase No7 or Max Factor and in the past have tried No17 and not been very impressed and I'm really not keen on the packaging as that's something that really is important to me cos my friends are all fashionesta snobs! So like many of us gals I do own some stuff of the less expensive brands but they are my secret and I don't go out with my pals and then get in the pub toilet and whip my cheapies out and stand next to them ... ***ABOUT THE 17 RANGE*** The 17 range is only avaaliable from Boots as it is Boots own brand of cosmetics. The 17 cosmetics range has a great range of items including liquid foundation for all skin types, tinted moisturiser, loose powder, pressed powder, bronzing pearls, Nail varnish, Lipstick's, Lip Liner, Eye-Liner, Eye-shadow, Glitter Pots, Lip Gloss, Mascara and more. This range is great value with a wide range of colours to choose from. ***LASTING FIX LIPSTICK*** I am a big fan of the 17 range and use their liquid foundation and their loose powder as well. I have been trying to look for the perfect colour lipstick and I spent ages looking at ... Read the complete review

Ever since the X Factor started this year I have been searching for a bright pink lipstick like the one that I have seen Cheryl Cole wearing so often. It's extremely frustrating when you spot the shade that you want on someone else and I had two trips to Boots before I finally discovered a shade that isn't perfect but is close enough! I first bought a lipstick from the 'shine on' collection in the 17 range which was completely the wrong colour when I got home. (I will review this one later). On my second trip, after testing every pink lipstick on the back of my hand I finally chose a 'lasting finish' lipstick in 'Pink Power' in the hope that it would be the ... Read the complete review

What the Product Says about Itself.... It's creamy, long-lasting, moisturising and best of all - transfer resistant 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick provides long lasting, non-drying coverage for your lips that lasts up to 4 hours. Dermatologically tested. Fragrance free. Verdict.... I've always been fussy when it comes to buying make-up I prefer make-up by brands such as: Chanel, MAC, Dior and Estee Lauder so when I purchased this product I didn't think I'd like it, I was just buying it because after browsing through all the other make-up counters in Boots "Hot Chilli" by 17 was one of my favourite ... I needed a new lipstick but couldn't afford an expensive one and this Lasting Fix Lipstick by 17 at Boots caught my eye. It's only £3.71. *Packaging* The packaging is very simple. It's a normal matte black lipstick tube. There is a shiny metal pink bit in the middle. On one end it says 17 in a silver font and on the other end it tells us the shade. The sticker is the shade of the lipstick. *Using The Product* You just apply it like any other lipstick. It went on pretty well but may take a couple of layers to build up to a desired coverage or a deeper shade. I found that my lips seemed a little bitty during application but that was because ...
