It works a little better if you rub it over your hand first so it was 'warmed up' and went on the skin smoother but still not the best. It didn't smudge easily unless I forgot I was wearing it and rubbed my eyes by accident but it still wasn't too bad because it was brown not black. It was not hard to remove either, I just washed it off at the end of the day with a cheap stores own baby wipe. The eyeliner lasted me quite a while ...more

I love to use eyeliner and I'm not really loyal to any brand so when I saw this in Boots for £2.89 I thought I'd give it a try. They come in a variety of blue, brown and purpley colours but I opted for the black as I feel I'm a little old now for any funky colours. The eyeliner itself isn't much different from a crayon except that it has a plastic lid on the top to stop the eyeliner getting ruined. The colour of the eyeliner is demonstrated by the colour of the pencil so it's not hard to pick the colour that you're after. I apply eyeliner on the inside of my upper lashes and the just under my lower lashes as opposed to right under my eyeball, if ...  Read the complete review

I am a huge fan of my eye liners, and as well as using liquid eye liner, I am becoming a huge fan of kohl pencils. I do not tend to stick to a particular brand of kohl eye liners, therefore when I ran out of my last one, I just picked up the Boots 17 Perfect Definition Eye Liner. The main reason was it was cheap and convenient, so I thought I would give it a go and see how I got along. I personally only use black eye liner as I feel that coloured ones do not suit my eyes or face very well and definitely do not leave me looking flattering! I settled for the shade 'Onyx', which as you can imagine is the perfect jet black which I was after. If you are however ...  Read the complete review

Recently I purchased one of these eye liner pencils from Boots. I thought it was a really good bargain, costing only £2.99, as well as being part of a 3 for 2 offer. The colour I chose was black, the reason I decided to go for this colour I suppose is probably just because I prefer the look of black liner on my eyes than any other colour. Also I haven't had any black liner for a while as I recently ran out of my old one, and lost another one I had. So these are my reasons for buying this product. When I got this the 17 range wasn't a range that I was particularly familiar with. At the same time as buying this I picked up a few other items from the range, ...  Read the complete review

I bought this eyeliner in brown as we were only allowed to wear very subtle makeup at the school I was at at the time (as in clear mascara subtle!) and I wanted something to bring out my eyes but not too heavy. This eyeliner was very cheap and had a small lid on to protect the nib. I drew it along the outer corners of my bottom lashes but still had to press quite hard as the pencil was quite hard because it was so cheap. It works a little better if you rub it over your hand first so it was 'warmed up' and went on the skin smoother but still not the best. This is, to me, the perfect eyeliner. I won't go into too much detail, because in my eyes this is simple! If you have any questions please let me know and I will add them to the review. Cheap: This eyeliner works out at around £3, this is beacuse Boots 17 make up is very frequently on a 3 for 2 offer. It is worth buying three bits, it works out very economical. Value for money: This eyeliner lasts years! I use it about four times a week and it lasts well over a year. Ease of use: The eyeliner is very soft kohl, which means it glides on very easily and gives a moist strong effect without drying out your eyes. Long lasting: The ...  Read the complete review
