Advantages: Amazing lashes with minimum effort.

Disadvantages: Smudging.

I only had to see the words 'Photo Flawless Lashes' on 17's new mascara, and I was intrigued.

I normally stay faithful to my beloved Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara, and love the effect it has on my average lashes. However, after using my last of it , I just fancied buying something different this time.

17 promises that it's Photo Flawless Lashes will give you high definition, volume and lift. All that for £5.99 for a 8ml product seemed a little too good to be true. I chose the colour Black Copper as I have brown eyes, however, the mascara is available in Black Blue (for blue eyes) and Black Green (for green eyes).
On the packaging it states that this is an intense black mascara with a twist of pearlescent colour to brighten eyes.

The mascara wand is sturdy and adequate enough, and the screw top feels very secure and I would not anticipate any leakages at all.
Those who love thick brushes to apply their mascara will appreciate what 17 offers with Photo Flawless, the brush is also curved to shape the eye.
I found the mascara itself to be a little thick - reminds me on Benefit Bad Gal - so if you are just looking for a lengthening mascara only, this may not be the one for you. A lot of product gets applied to your lashes and can begin to look a little clumpy. I rectified this by scraping off the excess before application.
Volume and intensity is most definately provided and my lashes looked beautifully full, with the brushes help my lashes curled without the need to use a lash curler beforehand.

The Copper is not as obvious on your lashes as I would imagine the Green or Blue would be. On the wand you can see the pearlescent sheen, however, once dry I feel this is not visible and seems to dry just Black!

Sometimes, mascara can be a little dry, that is not the case for Photo Flawless Lashes which seems to have a lot of moisture to it.

The only down side to this product for me -and the reason why I will not re-purchase it again- is the smudging that occurs under my eyes ( a major pet peeve of mine) within 3 hours of application. I never had that problem with Max Factor False Lash Effect and can only put it down to the fact it's because Photo Flawless is a much thicker product. Like I said before, I have average lashes, so it isn't the length that could be causing such smudges.

If, however, smudging doesn't bother you then I would really recommend Photo Flawless, as the results you get for your money are amazing. For me, the product consistency would have to re-looked at by 17 and then I would definately be adding it to my make-up kit.

Summary: Good value for the results given.
