... for your money. The tube is only very small, and I tend to use mine up quite quickly. The primer comes in a black tube which easily dispenses the primer with a small squeeze. You don't need too much of this to cover your whole face. The primer comes out in a white gel consistency. I like to squeeze it on to the tip of my finger and then massage into the face. It is quite smoothing and definitely makes my blemishes and redness stand out less. It is not a miracle product for the skin, but there is slight benefits. It ...more

Boots 17 Photo Flawless Primer: A prime product from 17 (776 words)

I can't remember why I purchased the 17 Photo Flawless Skin Primer now, but I believe that I probably got it as part of one of the regular three for two offers Boots have on the 17 brand. I don't wear foundation every single day of the week but when I do I like to wear a primer to help it stay on for as long as possible. I don't like having to re-apply foundation throughout the day as I find adding a bit more on top of whatever I'm already wearing can cause my dry skin to look caked, therefore I usually end up removing my make-up altogether and reapplying it which is obviously time consuming. A primer, which is a product designed to prep the skin and keep ...  Read the complete review

I've seen quite a few good reviews of this on dooyoo and having tried almost every primer out there I knew I had to give it a try - especially given the price tag! I only really got into wearing primers a year or so ago after trying a l'oreal one which is still a firm favourite (see review for more info). I have since tried quite a few different ones and formed a strong idea of what I like and don't like. Nowadays I use a primer every time I wear make up because I think it makes such a massive difference to the appearance of your skin. I tend to opt for cheaper ones in the day and if I am going somewhere special always opt for a really great one. Most of them ...  Read the complete review

Boots 17 Photo Flawless Primer: Flawless & Poreless For A Fiver? (720 words)

A primer was never included in my make up bag; I didn't really see the point in using them, until recently. I found that during the hot weather my make up felt as though it was sliding off and melting away - causing me to re-apply and use more and more of it up! I switched to using a tinted moisturiser but missed the protection and the coverage that foundation gives you. After doing some research and asking my friends I was introduced to the wonderful world of primers! A primer is very useful as it evens out your skin tone, smoothes away any impurities and banishes those pesky pores, leaving your skin prepped and primed for foundation. It also helps your make ...  Read the complete review

So cheap - so excellent! (509 words)

Having previously been a primer 'virgin' I was on the look out for a cheaper primer so that I could have a go and see what all the fuss was about. Having previously been looking at primers costing upwards of £15 I was feeling a little daunted, it was a lot to pay for something I might only use once. Then I was browsing the make up section in boots and saw this, brand new out, selling at £4.99 but was on offer (free if I bought the matching foundation from 17) so I snapped it up and took it home. Now I had heard Primers make your pores appear smaller, even out skin tone, provide a long lasting base for foundation or can be worn alone to make your complection ...  Read the complete review

Boots 17 Photo Flawless Primer: A primer for under a fiver? Really?! (492 words)

I saw the promotional material for this in my local Boots when it was originally released and couldn't believe the price for a primer, I obviously had no idea how good it would be, but for that price it was certainly worth trying out! Even better, at the time it was also free with the matching foundation! For those who aren't sure what a primer actually is or does, you apply it onto your bare skin (before foundation) to even out your skin and provide a good base for your make up, you can also use it alone if you prefer. A good primer can help to reduce pores, help your make up to last longer and even help to create a more "flawless" look. A lot of ...  Read the complete review
