Advantages: Nice colour, cheap
Disadvantages: Felt sticky comes off easily
I bought this lip gloss as I was going out on the night and the one I usually use had ran out. However as I didnt have alot of money (who does these days?!) I was looking for something which was a bargain.
Having previosuly used Boots own range called 17 and finding most of their products of a good quality I decided to have a look at their lipglosses.
I was surprised to find that their was a huge range of colours with everything from clear to the more neutral shades right up to all the bright reds. I however decided I wanted a more natural peach colour and after finding one I liked the look of I went and bought it.
On retuning home I looked at the product more closely it is in a plastic tube which is totally clear this makes it very easy to see the colour of the lipgloss and also how much you have left. The lid is a navy blue and on the top the silver 17 with the circle around it logo it. It looks quite basic but as long as the actual lipgloss was ok I wasnt too fussed about the packaging, as it was small enough to fit into my make up bag which was all I was concerned with. I was also glad to see that the majority of this was actual lipgloss unlike some where the lid is longer then the tube containing the gloss!
On opening the product I am pleased to find there is quite a fruity smell to the lipgloss which is very pleasent, the applicator is like most other for lipgloss which are slightly slanted to help aid application. When I began putting the lipgloss onto my lips I noticed their was a bit of a tingling sensation however this went within a few seconds, the lipgoss itself felt quite sticky when on my lips which I really didnt like as it felt as though you could see my lips sticking together as I spoke. The colour I have to admit was nice and was a nice coverage over my lips and it had a nice shine to it.
However I found that with this lipgloss you need to re-apply it quite frequently as everytime I drank it seemed to come off on the glass. So although this ligloss is cheap I feel you would end up using it up quite quick.
Since the one time I used this lipgloss I have not used it again as I just didnt like the feel of it on mylips.
My opinion is if you want a chap lipgloss look elsewhere or at least just spend a few extra pennies to get something you'll actually use.
Summary: Spend just a little bit extra to get a decent lipgloss
