Boots 17 Pressed Powder (Boots 17 Pressed Powder)
Member Name: AliB
Advantages: Shine free face! Disadvantages: None
I don't wear make-up often and when I do I don't wear much - I use mascara, eyeshadow (maybe two shades if I can be bothered) and pressed powder. I've never worn foundation, firstly I don't think I need it, and secondly, it seems like a very dodgy area - lots of people get it wrong, the colour is too orange/brown or they don't blend it in properly and get a ring around their face! So, I stuck to powder, mainly because I hate having a shiny face. This seems to have been trendy recently, looking like you've rubbed oil all over your face but I was never tempted! I used an Avon powder for a while, just cos my Mum used the service, but then I experimented with a few. Admittedly, they were all pretty cheap versions (never going above about £5) but like I said, I don't wear it often, I don't wear much, and I rub it in anyway. And I came across Boots 17 Pressed Powder - it's a fine and silky powder that comes in 5 shades, I'm quite pale skinned so I wear Neutral, again it's just to reduce shine so I don't need a coloured powder. It costs £3.15 for a 13g compact and it lasts me ages (unless it falls out of my handbag and goes everywhere!) The compact has a mirror in it for anywhere application and you get a velour puff to apply it. Results - a flawless, shine free finish! Summary: |
