Cheap and cheerful (Boots 17 Sheer Moisture Lipstick)

I was given one of these lipsticks recently and thought it was just a regular lippy but when I tried it, realised it's more of a slick or gloss. This makes it very easy to apply quickly (mistakes won't show as much!) and light to wear. I often have problems with lippy drying my lips out, so this was a pleasant change as it feels more like a balm or gloss once on. It's also easier to apply than the usual lipgloss with a wand which is so popular at the moment.

17 has recently been repackaged and the new look is much slicker, centred around shiny black packaging. This product is in a normal lipstick tube and is quite slim so ideal for a handbag.

There's a smaller colour range available in this lipstick compared to the other lipsticks in the range so it's perhaps not as versatile as some other gloss-style products that are available but a good little range nonetheless. Good for a run of the mill day at the office or for teenagers just starting to wear makeup.

The product is obviously exclusive to Boots and I have found that the smaller stores don't stock it, or only perhaps one or two shades.

I liked this product so much I have been and brought another in shade. I love Antinque Rose but Chocolate Suede (which is really just a rehashing of "Maple" if anyone remembers the old 17 sheer lipstick range) Is also very versatile.

Summary: good for everyday use only
